Well in pictures it looks much better that in real life. Was very difficult to understand the man in reception. The bad was very small. Next time will try different hotel. Cleaning was generally was good.

  • A very welcoming homestay

These are lovely people to stay with. The owner and the staff are all bright and cheerful and very eager to help. Located on Princess St in the heart of Fort Kochi, it is convenient to many places of interest and in walking distance to quite a few sights. I found it interesting just walking through the streets, taking in the sights and sounds. There are some interesting shops for souvenirs and general purchases as well. Take time to wander the foreshore walkway and watch the Chinese nets at work. Breakfast is included in your stay and the food is very hearty and well prepared. No other dining is available but there are many fine restaurants in Princess St and the other neighbouring streets. Prices vary but I found them to be of good value. Side trips and taxis can be arranged through the hotel if you wish. The electricity tends to go off quite a bit but this is not confined to Sonnetta and they restore it very quickly. I would happily stay here again.

We stayed for four nights at the start of our trip. The rooms are very clean. Kettle included. The shower had very hot water always available. Breakfast included and was very good. Friendly helpful staff, able to book tours at hotel. Great location and very good rates.

  • An excellent little guest house

    by Aggie19842014 on

This guest house may seem slightly old fashioned, but it is actually a brilliant place to stay. It's located centrally in Fort Cochin, close to all the tourist attractions. The rooms are fairly big and well-equipped. There are two breakfast options, Western and Indian, but you must specify which option you prefer the evening before. The best thing about the place are the owners. It's a sweet, helpful Cochin family, who know the town very well. We found them warm and welcoming, and we would definitely stay here again.

  • I recommend the A/C rooms as it can get hot and steamy in Kochi.
