Stayed 1 night at stelden residency. Room was spacious and fit 3 of us comfortably. Had all the usual amenities. Best part of the stay was the warm hospitality we received from Stella and Denzel. They looked after all our needs and made us feel right at home. Kept our bags for the day as we were catching a night train and let us use the shower before leaving even though we were meant to be checked out. Would recommend this place any time.

It's hard to put into words how wonderful Denzil and Stella are and how big an influence they had on our trip. I travelled around India in Jan 2016 with a friend... towards the end of our trip we found ourselves in Fort Cochin and we couldn't have picked a better place and people to meet!!! There beautiful home truly had a welcoming feel and I haven't got enough time to explain how helpful both Denzil and Stella were in helping us organise our travels. Waking up to the home cooked traditional Indian breakfasts each morning really was everything we wanted, I'd like to take this moment to thank both Denzil and Stella for making our visit so special and wish you's the very best of health. Take care Chris and Eliot.

Stella and Densil are really kind welcoming people. They know the area well can give helpful travel advice and arrange trips. The house is well located and easy to find your way back to, just off the main road, about 10 mins walk from the ferry. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. Overall great value, location and genuinely friendly hosts.

We had such a wonderful stay at Stelden Residency. Stella and Denzil were so kind and made us feel so welcome in their beautiful home. The house is clean and lovely, with beautiful designs on all the windows. Also, the rooms remain pleasantly cool in the Kochi heat. Stella's cooking was delicious, with some scrumptious authentic Indian breakfasts that we wont find back in Australia! They're both lively, intelligent people who are very interesting to talk to and make you feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this homestay, in the perfect location - walking distance to anything and everything in Fort Cochin. We hope you both visit us when you're in Australia! Thanks again Stella and Denzil. Best wishes, Mariana and Ruben.

I have nothing but glowing things to say about Stelden Residency. I spent the past two months in a studio painting in the mountains of Vagamon and when it was time to come to the city, Shelley and Denzil were there to greet me. Homestay is an apt name as I felt like I was home. I was served 3 meals a day by Stella who is such a world class cook that she should open a restaurant. And even better than the food were the conversations had at the table over breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Denzil is a wise man and I enjoy listening to his philosophies on living a happy life. I would also like to note that Stella actually took an interest in my work and asked for a viewing of my paintings with my commentary. It was as special as presenting in front of a full gallery on opening night. In addition, Denzil, a busy man, would allow me to accompany him as he ran errands and squeezed in time in between to show and teach me the history of Kochi. I can't wait to come back to Fort Kochi. And when I do, I will be staying with Stella and Denzil at Stelden Residency. Cheers.
