Worst ever hotel to stay. I'm Malaysian stayed this hotel during my holiday at Kochin. Given full details of myself and my family at reception including they scan each individual of my family. We booked in total three rooms. Passed after midnight at around 2am police turn up to my mother in laws room. They knocked on the room door. After long day she was in deep sleep plus she was not well. They started to force open the door. Mother in law shocked awake from sleep open the room door. They went in cheked the room without any excuse or ezplenation. There wasn't any apologize made by the hotel management. The ever worst thing was the manager who spoke to me said there is suspicious terrorist threat. The main suspect in their list was travelers from Malaysia. Hotel management simply said this is normal. So if you don't want to have uninvited guest visiting your bed room late at nite pls don't cook this hotel. Otherwise you will hv people visit during your good night sleep with your family.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights. In the evening there is only one staff to service the whole hotel and when some one calls room service the entire front desk is left unattended. No security personnel in the hotel. Felt really unsafe as this hotel is in the heart of Ernakulam and with easy access and no one maintaining the lobby at night I felt really unsafe. I would not recommend families to stay here at all. Maintenance is very poor with cockroaches in the bathroom. This hotel is not even worth one star though it is advertised as a three star hotel. No room service/. Overall a poorly maintained hotel. Will never stay there again. During my stay at the hotel the WiFi never worked at any time !

Firstly, let me please tell you that the photos uploaded by management are misleading as the hotel and its rooms/suites are not at all as shown in the photos.They are worst and should be categorized as below 1 star hotel.Let me elaborate you on my experience! Location: The only thing about this hotel is its location.It is located on M.G road near metro station - Maharaja College.But there are a lot of other good hotels available on M.G Road at reasonable prices. Rooms: We stayed at this hotel during Jan 2019 and it was the worst experience ever! The reception and lounge area were full of mosquitoes even during day time.There was also no ventilation.We were given suite room as we were told other rooms are occupied.So we had no option but to go for The suite room which costed us Rs.4000 per night per room with breakfast.There was no adequate lighting throughout the hotel right from reception to floor lobby and even inside the rooms.So the atmosphere inside the hotel was dark and shabby everywhere! When we entered our suite it seemed that the suite was not used or maintained for ages! It would be apt to stay it was like a haunted house not occupied for ages!! Floor was oily and dirty,doors were noisy and the bathroom too was not good.There were no towels,toiletries,drinking water,electric kettle and tea bags etc.We had to call the housekeeping and follow up several times to make all these available to us.Most of the times the reception/housekeeping did not pick up or if they picked up our call they did not answer or talked in such a tone that we couldn't hear.As we were in a hurry to visit a place we changed and left and arrived back to hotel around 10.30pm. When we arrived in our rooms and switched on the lights, the lights went off in few minutes (just in our suite only) After sometime again power was back and then again it went off.This happened several times.Even the TV (very very old CRT model) even though switched off with remote several times used to get switched on directly whenever the power came back!! We informed about this to the staff there but again there was no response from them.When we told them that we want to talk to there manager we were told there is no manager.We were helpless in this situation.When we went to the reception and shouted at them, they were giggling among themselves.One of them just visited our room to see what is the issue (just for namesake) he said there is some issue with the main power switch of the suite.So we asked him to replace our suite, to which he said to stay in the same suite.After lots of argument he said he will shift us to another suite a floor above.When we entered that suite there were no lights.After we asked him why there are no lights he replied there is no light in this suite.This means, was he going to shift us from worse room to worst room?? To the top of it we were also stuck in the hotel elevator as the doors did not open at the requested floor and also the elevator took us up and down without our instructions.When we pressed the emergency alarm it hardly rang for a second and the staff did not turn up again!! Finally, it was our sheer luck that the door opened at the ground floor and we came out! This was it and now we were annoyed and irritated to the core! We knew they were least bothered about the issue! We had to pack our bags and leave the hotel at midnight!! (Again to our sheer luck there was a room available at adjacent Grand hotel) The staff did not even bother to ask us why we were leaving or even refund us our money (we had paid in advance) !! This experience still haunts us as were started believing if the hotel was really haunted?? Service: Actually there is no service provided as there is no staff.The few ones which are available are young illiterate guys who are working there for fun and not interested and concerned about the guests! There is no management it seems or even if there is, they are least bothered! Food: We did not eat at this hotel as we left the hotel at midnight due to the above experience. WiFi: When I asked about the WiFi password to connect to the hotel WiFi, I was given one password which never worked.When I informed them about this, the lady at the reception replied that iPhone cannot be connected to hotel WiFi!! When we told her that we also have an android phone which was unable to connect,she had no answer and she kept looking at our face! Simply ridiculous isn't it. Would not at all recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Booked this hotel as they accepted 24hrs check in. In spite of booking in advance, had to wait for 30 minutes at the reception. Unpleasant reception due to ac not switched on. At breakfast request for hot Pooris was met with surprise and twice tried to serve cold..after much delay. Room is outdated (Kerala suite) with 1980s TV set and no plugpoints near the bed. I was changing and the housekeeping lady just opens the door with master key. All this within 2 hours of check in! No training given to staff.

Dank room, damp walls, smell of mildew, tapless bathroom, soiled furniture , vintage TV (which refuses to respond to remote), centralised AC (i.e. an AC which is out of your control) ... the list is just too long to fit here.You might think I am talking about a seedy hotel room in one of those parts of the city. But No Sir! Welcome to a typical room of Hotel Woods Manor, situated in the heart of Woodland Junction, MG Road, Cochin. We had planned an overnight stay in this hotel during our return from Munnar. I spotted a red flag the moment I approached the reception. Entire hotel lobby wore a deserted look. The lady at the reception was more intersected to examine my Id card rather than getting our luggage out of the waiting taxi. When I insisted on checking the rooms before completing the formalities, I was promptly escorted to one of the Deluxe rooms with all the features mentioned above. When I refused to move into these rooms, the hotel staff showed us another set of Deluxe rooms which were exact replicas of the earlier rooms but filled with nauseating doses of room freshener! Finally, upon my repeated requests, the hotel staff showed us a suite room which was merely a scaled up version of the Deluxe category. We were already tired after the long journey. My diabetic mother and my sisters infant baby were also traveling with us. By this time, we had no energy left in us to press the matter any further. Hence, we decided to stay in that so called suite room despite the difficulties. Forget about modern features like Wi-Fi, even the basic amenities, cleanliness and hygiene are seriously lacking in this hotel. Pathetic hotel staff make matters even worse. I think this hotel is now a sinking ship and the management knows it. Don't be trapped by its location and get up. Avoid this hotel like a plague.
