We stayed at Bison country for two nights in August. We were a group of 4 adults and two kids and the best part was, that it was fun for us as well as the kids. Our cottage was pretty good, spacious and clean. The bed was good enough for two adults and a kid. The cottages have nice seating areas/porch where you can sit, chit-chat and enjoy the view. The owners are friendly and helpful. The food was good but the breakfast could have had more options as we got almost same breakfast the both days.bonfire with music was a bonus to our trip. Overall it was an amazing stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We were 5 of us, husband, wife, kid and 2 friends who visited during 29-30 April. We were given the Reliah Cottage that is shown in the main picture of the place. It has two spacious interconnected rooms with decent amenities. Both the rooms have attached balconies which have hill view seating arrangement. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Dinner is simple with rice, chapati, chicken and some veg dish but rice portion is quite a lot. They also served onion pakoda as evening snacks. The kitchen is accessible to everyone which makes it very convenient when traveling with kids. I was able to heat milk etc for my kid myself. The property is nice and green. There is a small basket ball court, a swing and a small open space for bonfire. The only problem with our room was it was quite noisy in the morning since the basket ball court and swing are right next to it and lot of hotel guests were there.

This is one of the nice place outside coonoor for good private stay for seven families. The front 3 cottages are good , others are ok for the price. The steep gradient to climb to the rooms are difficult for elderly people. Only car can go ,otherwise walk, which we felt disadvantage.Food and service are good. Price also reasonable.

If you are looking to unwind from the bustling noise and the fast paced life of the city, a weekend getaway of sorts, then Bison Country, Coonoor is the place to be. The location is excellent, overlooking a mountain, surrounded by plush green tea estates that meets the eye as layered green carpets everywhere. They have rooms and the cottages come with private lawns with rich flora blooming with colourful flowers. It is totally soothing to the mind to wake up to chirping birds and the crowing of the cocks and the gentle morning sunshine that lights up the lawns. The care takers are warm and friendly. The food is homely and delicious, and is made to your choice of menu and taste. The host, Mr Saravanan is extremely helpful and leaves no stone unturned to see that your stay is comfortable and hassle free. Whether picking you up from the bus stand in the wee hours of the morning or dropping you off late in the night at bus pick up point or arranging vehicle for local sightseeing is no problem, as Mr Saravanan arranges them all with trusted and experienced chauffeurs. He is also very flexible in the checking-in and checking-out time when the bookings are lean. The only trivial issue, was that the care takers had to be constantly reminded to clean the rooms. Had a 2N/3D stay at Bison Country with my family of 3 and we totally loved the entire experience. We left relaxed, satisfied and with a self-made promise to visit the place again with a bigger gathering.

Disappointed with the service and overall attitude of the place. There was absolute no hospitality in the way this resort is operated. We were left alone to fend for ourselves, no one to even hail a cab for us...so bad that we didnt even bother asking for a refund for a days short stay...even booking it was like tenter hooks...no replies...no confirmations..absolute wrong choice !
