What's Good: Spacious rooms & good service

What's Good: Rooms were clean. Staff behaviour was good. You will get one auto always from resort to station if you are not traveling with your vehicle.
What needs to improve : Price is too high. It is good if you want some decent place and coming with infants or kids and want to maintain your status but I will not recommend to those people who want to save money. Better to be in Ooty. You can cover coonoor places from ooty also. Save your money in hotels and use it for traveling and shopping.

What needs to improve : After having a very plesant experience in Ooty we planned to stay for one day at Coonoor. We had booked this hotel after going thorugh the reviews which we found good in most of the travel websites. From the moment we landed in this hotel we started experiencing unfriendly and rude attitude of staff. We had earlier asked for 3rd floor rooms which they had confirmed over phones because of better vally view. But while check-in we were put up in some other rooms and they outrightly denied any such confirmations made earlier. The hotel has a pathetic room service all furnishing pretty old i would say antigue, tv not working and most of them i think are those which we had sold off in flipkart as outdated products. Didn't understand why its called resort afterall and why were paying so much. In the evening first time in my life room service was forcing me to have dinner and provide them order by 6:30pm. The only weired reason he provided that they need time to prepare. I realised they were doing this all the guests. The only reason i saw was that they were understaffed. We ourselves have to go to filter and fill up our drinking water bottles....that why i called poor housekeeping. I horror story didnt end there....in the night when there was power outage in the city they provided back up till 11pm only...isnt tht weired, whole night we were let on our own. Next morning we took hotel drop to coimbatore airport that experience was bad as well. During a stoppage my mom was settling her bag, the driver ran the car over her feet. The worst thing was he wasnt apologetic...and when we were accusing him why he did that he threatened he is not going to drop us to airport. Please avoid this place at any cost

What's Good: Firstly, we had booked a suite but were given a usual double room instead. The hotel manager said that was their suite which is not acceptable because their brochure showed what a suite actually looks like. The service was pretty bad too. For the first day, the phone in the room wasn't working. So we had to go to the reception every time we needed something. They had kept an electric kettle and tea bags etc in the room but there was no dairy whitener or milk. When we asked for it, they said they don't provide that. Have never heard this sort of a thing before. Also had to ask for glasses multiple times before they actually got them. There was no shampoo and bath wash in the bathroom. The second day, they kept only two towels when there were three people in the room. Overall, it was not a value for money experience. Could have got a much better place in the money we paid. The location was ok.

We normally drive everywhere in South India so we choose out of the way places. For a change, we chose this hotel because our visit purpose was to buy a special kind of cheese and it looked like it was in the city centre. Unfortunately, it was not. The two kilometre walk was fraught with risk, on a narrow highway with no pavement. We had to take an auto-rickshaw back as it was too dangerous to walk. The second day we drove to town. The hotel is a Tamil Nadu Tourism property, taken on lease by the MGM Group. It was simple and decent, with large rooms and bathrooms. Service was quite good and the staff very responsive.

We stayed in the hotel on the occasion of New Year 2018 where we had a pleasant stay. Mr. Ravi is the one who arranged every thing over there for sight seeing, cab services and food for us even in late night. Hotel was quite good located in coonoor which is near to coonoor railway station with good parking lot. Good hotel for families, couples and as well for friends.

Hi I had a membership with MGM resorts and i chose to stay in the hotel (It was not a resort). It was located in Coonoor - ooty road and room size was good. Hotel food options were limited and costly and hence I chose to have dinner from coonoor town (Hyderabad briyani house) for dinner. Hotel provided bon fire and also charged me for the same. Buffet breakfast was with limited options and also took time to serve. Overall, my experience this resort, oops hotel was not upto my expectations.

I stayed in MGM last year in June. When we entered the property after a long journey it felt good. Then the best part happend when we entered in our room. A vast room with a great hill view welcomed us. It was our marriage anniversary. We were quite excited. But after that almost on every step and for every demand we made , we regretted our decision to book this place. Food was not up to the mark, service was not good. Room was spacious but washrooms were not maintained. Every room service request took a long time to fullfil.

I had booked 4 rooms for a 2 day stay in this resort. It was a family trip with 8 adults and 6 children. After my booking 2 weeks later i get a call from hotelier saying that they can offer only 3 rooms. He siad he will check and call back. The next day i received a call and he said only 2 rooms are available. If they do not guarantee the booking through booking.com then they should not list themselves in a forum like that. I ended up choosing another property at a higher. cost but less value for money becasue the travel dates were in a long weekend. The person who spoke to did not even react much when i told i would definitely review this in the site.
