What's Good: Booked the resort for 3 days with wife and kid to celebrate my wedding aniiversary. Starting with the accomodation, I would say the best I have stayed so far in my recent past, the tiles are handmade to control your BP and to give relaxation, bathroom was having glass roof and gives a feeling that you are having bath in the middle of the jungle. Room was neat and clean and called room service multiple times and everytime they were bang on time in your service. Resort has several varities of plantation and trees and full of greenry, we were given a paper to spot the birds and write there location to get a certificate and we saw several exotic birds.you can relax and have tea cofee in the reading nook near caveri river bank. As everyone says River walk was amazing, same was my experience, I went with my three years old daughter and the guide (Pramod) was super helpful, carried my daughter all the time, during river walk you will cross river caveri multiple times and walk through the forest area, its quite adventurous. Staff is super polite, smiling and helpful, they know in advance what you need, whether its restaurant, room service, reception , everyone was courteous. They prepared a table for candle light dinner for me and my wife near fire place. Only thing which I found little negative was the food prices, one dish with roti and rice will cost you 1K, so its better to take the buffet Meal plan if you are not going with kid. I would recommned everyone to stay there for at least couple of days and enjoy nature at its best and dont forget to go for bathing elephants at Dubare Elephant Camp, it was really a great experience.

Beautiful villas beautiful location excellent customer service. Overall my stay was really good. However the one thing amanvana really needs to work on is its food. Food doesnt taste well at all and gave me a bad stomach after every meal. Also you should consider accepting food orders post 10 pm

Set in about 10 acres of forest and on River Cauvery , the property has 19 beautiful cottages with an excellent bathroom which has a sky-view. A good place to relax and go for strolls along the river. There are also activities to keep you engaged. We took the coffee plantation visit - Mr. Gopal who accompanied us as our guide was very knowledgeable and made the visit interesting. On the way back from coffee estate we stopped at a small shopping complex recommended by Gopal- there is not much hard sell and no compulsion to buy which is good . Our daughter also tried the morning yoga session and gave the instructor (Ms. Varsha) a very high rating for diligently taking her through the session despite she being the only one to turn up. The complimentary breakfast spread had good variety and the live cooking station was also excellent - the waffles were really stand outstanding by Indian standards- kudos to the cook. Special thanks to Pintu for his attentive and non-intrusive service. The housekeeping was good - but we could see ants in the bathroom- probably needs to pay more attention to keep the rooms cleaner . The cottage size is more than adequate for 2 people and the interiors are done up nicely to make it cosy. Their theme - rabbit hole for your soul- and their interiors done around Alice in the Wonderland story is quirky and interesting. We also had 2 dinners in the restaurant - both alacarte (there is a buffet also available) - OK but nothing outstanding. The akki rotis were good and the Panni (pork) curry also had some Coorgi character - but nothing memorable . The property also has an excellent pool which we didn't use because of the rains. But the rains did make the stay even more magical. The property is not in Madikeri and is in Kushalnagar before the climb to Madikeri starts. So you will not get the fog covered , lush green scenery of Madikeri which properties higher up in mountains will have.

Had an amazing stay at this resort. The river trek is a must try. The rooms are comfortable and the food is really amazing. The property has river flowing right through it and is completely surrounded by nature. Had a very relaxing stay . It truly is a rabbit hole for the soul.
