This is the very definition of a homestay. The hostess is warm gracious and super hospitable. The bungalow is old but stately and most beautiful part is that it sits in the middle of hundreds of acres of coffee estates. Wild elephants regularly come visiting as it is adjacent to nagarhole wild life sanctuary. The rooms are basic but comfortable. There are two gorgeous labradors for whoever likes dogs - and the hostess is always ready to arrange safaris, walks, or any other activities you want to indulge. We brought our own car from Mysore but Im sure transport can be arranged by the host if required: The food is home cooked traditional coorg food - simple yet super delicious!! Id come back for a return visit in a flash!

We made the perfect choice by selecting spice glade for a 3N stay in Coorg. We wanted a place which is simple yet offering quality and this was it. The hospitality by Jesvin and Shyam, the hosts, was amazing. A mention of Kumari cannot be missed. She is always present to help you with a smiling face. The hospitality has percolated down, not just, to their staff but also can be felt with the two other of their family members, the labs, Lia and Cleo. We had a real fun time with them. Food was the best part during the stay; simple, home made food, but utmost delicious and hygienic. Cherry on the cake was, the proximity of this place with Nagarhole sanctuary. If you are planning the safari then the jeep safari, which can be prebooked with the hosts, is highly recommended. It is costlier than the bus safari but is very peaceful, comfortable and convenient. Just enjoy the natures company. And on the way if you sight any of the magnificent creatures (tiger, elephants, leopard, bison etc) then you are really lucky. There are a few other spots as well which can be conveniently accessed from this place. A little difficulty is about getting phone connectivity(if you arent on Airtel). Wifi is available for net access but at times has weak connectivity. All in all a very memorable time spent at spiceglade and ofcourse looking forward to more occasions for a revisit.

Stayed here in the first week of October for 3D and 2N. We were 2 families with kids aged below 12. Our hosts served us home-made local and continental delicacies till we couldn't anymore. We regretted we couldn't add two more days at this sprawling yet cosy coffee estate. Ample parking space, clean and nicely made up bathrooms, the lawn, badminton courts, other indoor games and the bonfires in the evening with BBQ impressed us immensely. The hosts spent time with us, took us for nature walks and made us feel we were welcome-guests and not their customers. Spice Glade is close to Kutta market and also close Nagarhole main entry gate. Our safaris were pre-booked by Spice Glade and almost everything was flawless. Hope to stay at SG again.

Stayed here last weekend. Its a beautiful property that is located at close proximity to Nagarhole forest gate. Its easily approachable and yet at the same time is located away from the hustle-bustle. The hosts were very warm and friendly. Our objective was to just have a relaxed weekend and hence did not really venture out that much. So, we ended up having lots of coffee, binging on snacks and chatting away with the hosts. The food was excellent. The desserts deserve a special mention! Had a small bonfire as well in the evening. The rooms were very clean and quite spacious. There are lots of options to pass time. There's a basketball court which can be converted to a cricket field as well if one wishes. We were supposed to go for the safari but unfortunately it got called off due to rains. All in all, was a good weekend. We would definitely want to go back for a longer stay!

My wife and me visited Spice Glade some time in 2014. We were planning a trip to kodagu or coorg and going thru the options over net and something about its location its name and hosts clicked. We immediately booked over phone and were happy to take us in. We stayed 2N/3D and had a wonderful time. Jeswin is a fantastic cook and host and Shyam is good company. She also makes wine and fruit squash which are a steal and recommend it to the visiting guests. Her dishes are fantastic and good company to chat . Happy to see the homestay growing with many rooms now. We have still maintained the contact over the years. Would recommend the place anytime . Regards, Vishwanath &Pragati Puttur.
