We read the great reviews online and hence booked the place, but it turned out to be not satisfactory for mainly two reasons-the property was scenic but comfort wise it was very ordinary, and second being that the level of service was not matching up to the price tag. It lacked the warmth of a homestay and although it was equivalent to the prices of a good hotel the services were not at all up to the mark. When we went there the hostess was not present herself to keep things in check and probably that's why the caretaker cum cook cum attendant was not keen to serve us,he was not present most of the time, and when we called him he would not respond. Food was very expensive and ordinary, electricity was not there most of the time and for the whopping price that we paid 24 hour electricity supply was expected ,they had generators as well but we had to call them 5 times before someone heard us and switched on the generator, overall pls visit when the hostess herself is present it might improve the service quality.

Went with my family to spring dale estate, virajpet, coorg during dushera holidays 2016 for 3 nights. Stay was very comfortable and the rooms are big. The property is very excellent , a bungalow with well maintained landscape and coffee plantation allround. One can enjoy silence and listen to chirping birds in the morning and insect screeches in the night. No cellphone signals except BSNL and WiFi signals are also weak due to remote location.Food served was very good , we were served with traditional coorg dishes for dinner . Mostly all fresh and home made ingredients were used for cooking . Location is not available in google but the property owner will guide you after booking. My kids enjoyed a lot and they dont want to leave ........
Beautiful luxurious bungalow!

I have never bean in a home stay that's actually a proper plantation bungalow. The owners of the bungalow live here and have given out 3 rooms as guest stay. The property ground is huge which has a man made pond as well. The gardens are well manicured, the rooms are clean and extremely spacious. The room we were in had a huge balcony over looking the entrance of the house. The bathroom had a nice bath tub and a powder room as well. The food is prepared on time keeping our preferences in check. But not too many variety. Just plain home cooked food The cook even prepared a homemade chocolate cake for our little celebration :) The hosts are gracious and keep to themselves. This is a place you have to go when you want to spend your time doing nothing. Comfortable stay in the lap of luxury! P.S Inform the owner of your arrival in advance. She'll guide you the route since this is in a offbeat location.

The pictures do not do justice to Spring Dale. It was more than a breath of fresh air.. The garden was simply exquisite. The meticulously laid lawns and the plant surround was to a plant lover like me, the perfect retreat. Coming from Chennai, it felt so good to relax in a homestay that was ideal. Our host couple was so hospitable, it made our visit feel complete. The food home cooked was delicious, we couldnt have asked for more and the varying locations it was served in made our visit something to remember. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to get away from the maddening crowd! Sheela Sarath

Varuna plantations is really a beautiful and charming home. the views are stunning and it is quiet and serene. it is the perfect place to put your feet up and rejuvenate your mind and body. The staff take very good care of you and the food is delicious.
Choose the one overlooking the entrance, the one above the main door.

The homestay had 2 large rooms. Both faced the garden. The view was absolutely scenic and the bedroom that faced the front of the house had a larger balcony with a sitout.
