We visited Uttarakhand few days back and our first stop was Jim Corbett National Park. We were a total of 12 persons with 04 kids and started off from Delhi in a tempo traveller in the early morning. We had already booked our two day stay with Corbett Treat Resort. We have read lots of positive reviews in social media along with a few negative one's as well. We decided to choose Corbett Treat Resort after recommendation from one of my colleagues who had visited this resort with his family and friends. From Delhi, this place is approx 300 kms. Once we reach Ramnagar, we took left and headed for Jim Corbett National Park. The air quality changed dramatically as we approached and the very smell of it refreshed us instantly. Last five kms were through dense jungle. Road quality in the forest area was very well maintained. Reached resort at around 12:00 noon and were warmly welcomed by GM Mr. Kapil Mehta and manager Awasthi Ji. Check-in was very smooth and hassle free. Mr. Kapil sent special coffee to our rooms and I must say that it was one of the best coffee I have tasted in a long time. Resort is surrounded by deep forest on one side and farm lands on the other side along with a small village called Dhela at the backdrop. The entire environment was so serene. Rooms were very clean and well maintained with all the standard facilities. Unlike our past experiences in other places, the linen used by this resort was very fresh and clean. Very good food, prompt staff and nice location. Had bonfire in the evening after a dip in the swimming pool which again was very neat and clean. Went to safari next day early morning and spotted lots of animals except tiger. We could only hear the thunderous roar as he passed by in the bushes. Our guide Anand was really helpful in guiding us through the entire safari. He helped us spot very rare bird species as well. Came back to the resort and went to local sight seeing in the day. Overall, a very memorable trip for all of us. Kids really enjoyed a lot. Thanks a lot to the Corbett Treat Resort. Highly recommended from our side !!! Tip: If you are looking to stay in a big city like hotel, then please don't stay towards the jungle side. Look for hotels near Ramnagar in that case. Jungle side only has resorts with maximum rooms ranging from 15 to 20 and there are only 12 to 15 resorts which are allowed near the core zone of the jungle. Reason being this area is plush with wild life and hence eco-sensitive zone.

Simply Wow After coming down from our trip to Ranikhet and Kausani, we decided to stay over for a day in Corbett Tiger Reserve. Kids insisted for jungle safari, so we straight away booked Corbett Treat Resort and requested them to book our Safari as well. We stayed in three different resorts on our trip and were carrying a mixed bag of emotions. One of the resort turned out to be good but other two were ok types. So we were keeping our fingers crossed for this last resort. Nevertheless to our surprise, it turned out to be the best stay option in our entire journey. Awesome resort situated bang opposite to the core zone of the forest with electric fencing. Hospitality was amazing and manager was very humble and polite. As compared to other resorts we stayed on this trip, food was simply awesome here. No too much spicy and oily and yet very tasteful and fresh. Kids loved so much being here that they didn't want to leave for another day. We went for safari and spotted different kind of wild life. Jungle was very dense with so much greenery around. Over all, a very good experience. Highly recommended from our side !!!

Fabulous Trip We visited Corbett this year in the month of Sep amidst rains in full swing. We didn't book any hotel in advance and kept this trip as impromptu (keeping in mind that sep is an off season so availability of hotels should not be an issue). We were two families including four adults and 3 kids. We read a blog of another fellow traveller Mr. Rodrick Lal about their visit to Corbett and stay in Corbett Treat Resort. With out any further thinking, we checked in to this resort. Corbett comes alive in the rains...it was so mesmerising just to watch so much of greenery all around. Location of the resort is awesome..just adjoining the core zone of the jungle with electric fencing. It is located completely forest side with plush jungle on one side and green farms on other sides. There are a vast variety of amazing bird species with in the resort. One of the best thing about our say was the FOOD....simply amazing....kudo's to their chef for serving us wonderful dishes. Rooms were neat and clean with fresh linens. GM of the resort Mr. Kapil Mehta and manager Mr. Awasthi Ji treated us like family members and made sure that all our requirements are well taken care of. Swimming Pool was having crystal clear water and maintained so well. It is not a very big resort or hotel, but stay there was very comfortable and refreshing. We have stayed in big properties in the past, but all of them were very commercial in nature and lacks the soul. Corbett Treat Resort is just opposite to that. Now back to Delhi and lungs can tell the difference...pollution all around....Hats of to the team of Corbett Treat Resort...we will surely visit this place in these winters again.
