Though this review dates back to 2010, I owe it to the resort. After lots of research and budgeting for a 2N/3D holiday in Jim Corbett, I stumped upon Tarangi Resort. Made lots of search about the resort, reviews from every possible website. Lastly made the booking. Departed from Faridabad on the early hours, just before 6 am. Reach the Resort by 11 am Covered 300 Kms in 5 hours in my Accent. Time lost around 1 hour for bad road after Muradabad Byepass to Kashipur. Route Taken: Faridabad - Mathura Road Ashram - Ring Road NH 24 Ghaziabad Hapur Byepass Morababad Byepass Kashipur Ram Nagar Dhikuli Tarangi Resort Eating Place: Onward journey : McD after Hapur Byepass on the left. Also few Joints near Moradabad Byepass entering point. Return Journey: After crossing McD on the right there is huge hotel n resort. Forgot the name. Good food. Lots of Toll gate, may be 5 in total on the way. Keep Change. Can easy clock above 120 km/h till Moradabad Byepass. NOW THE RESORT: Impressive Points: 1. Warm Welcome starting from the Gate Security till Reception. 2. Explained everything from the package to restaurant timings, activities, safari etc etc. 3. Escorted by 2 staff with Luggage 4. Room was ready before Check-in Time. We reached @ 11 and C/in Time was 1 pm. 5. Room was Clean. 6. Amenities were superb. 7. All fittings in the Room and Bath Room were branded. 8. Had a Room size private balcony in front with Chairs. 9. The room was a river view one. 10. Huge manicured lawns. 11. Lots of Planned Greenery all around. 12. Own vegetables plantations. 13. Resort just located on the Kosi River Bank. NIce sound of water flowing. 14. Fantastic Food and spread. 15. Staff were helpful and going out of the way for service. 16. Swimming Pool was clean. Have a baby pool too. 17. Volley Ball, Net ball, Cricket etc available. 18. Nice Bon Fire Set-up with Guitar Playing with Hindi and English Songs. Though Hindi Songs sung were out of tune BUT who cares, the setting and environment makes up for all. 19. Beer is available from the Restaurant. 20. Hard Drinks can be brought and enjoyed by own. 21. Food can served outside the Restaurant beside the River. 22. Had Fish feeding Activity Too. We just leised around and had a good time.. Oh yes, went for Jungle safari: Costs Rs.2200/- and Rs.100 per person. Got to see the TIGER within 20 metres range for around 2 mins in open area. Everything went on so smooth and we really had a successful trip. They had a collective TIP box at the reception which eased out the uneasiness of tipping here n there. As I have made so much of research before going there and had a successful trip, so I think this review might also help somebody to enjoy the jungles just like as I did. Cheers !!!!!!!!!

We went to Tarangi resort in December 2012 and again in December 2014 in a group of 15. The resort is very spacious and close to a live river. They have a swimming pool, spa, restaurant, bar, activity for bone fire, live music, playing cricket or football etc. There are two big size ground kids can play cricket or football. The swimming pool was small but well maintained and manned by a life guard. There were no TV in the room. But rooms were spacious. The food quality of both veg and non-veg was amazing. I don't know why it's not listed on makemytrip or other website. The entrance of this place is quite wide and has plenty of space of car park safely. The staff was really friendly. There was a steward who was excellent at multi-tasking. In the afternoon he arranged cricket and footfall for us, in the evening he sang beautiful songs over bone fire playing guitar. It was a wonderful stay and we will go soon again.

Tarangi Resort & Spa is a nice location near the river. Having very good rooms with AC. after the long rides and safari trips at Corbett National Park , you get very nice comfort and rest in this resort. The location is very good with around trees and very different trees. This hotel has also good elephant ride in early morning. one must enjoy Corbett National Park ...but very few chance for sighting of tigers. Elephants, deer and birds are very great attractions of this place. you can reach Corbett National Park by train from Delhi ...Ranikhet express.

There are many good things like having a pool, ground to play cricket and badminton, they have their own plantation so the vegetable are their own....just stay in cottage have morning newspaper in yr veranda..or have some good time near river.food is very nice...now the bad part- they promise you to take a jungle ride on elephant..ride is good but u wont find anything in jungle...suddenly the guide would say ....sshhh! there is something behind the bush, and u will see a monkey....in whole trip u wud only able to see foot prints of tiger...it is far from dikhala range....u stay anywhere but u will only see the tiger footprints...

The property is spread over a large piece of land and luckily a nature guide from the hotel helped us with a walk through of the flora and fauna. We walk almost for 1.5 hours with this nice man how showed us different flowers, fruits and taught us some botany. The room was river facing, although 90% dry in summer, had a wonderful forest and a mountains at the background. The room was dim-lit and perfect for a romantic stay with my spouse. Rustic interiors with use of tree trunk left-overs was signature mark in this property. The food was very good and the night concluded with a guitar strumming local who sang a few Hindi and English songs. It would be best to book a jungle safari before travel or else one has to compromise over the nearby forest with a scarce chance of spotting wildlife.
