You are likely to like the place if you are the type who loves: 1.staying in an unprofessional resort at the wimps and fancies of the resort manager 2. staying in an understaffed resort capable of handling no more than 2-3 guests at a time. 3. being peppered with a whole lot of vague charges (eg. mineral water, etc.) which you have not consumes nor does the resort have any signed receipt from the guest 4. a resort that keeps making excuses that their internet is down and not confirming all promises made on email 5. a resort where standard operating procedure is not to make a bill but rather do a renegotiation of the the agreed terms by forcing you down with imaginary charges as in point 3. 6. a resort where you keep complaining about broken tap and light in bathroom but no real action ever gets taken the location and the property are great but the management as yet are whimsical. it did not seem like they get too many guests given the severe shortage if personnel. Also did not look like the owners seem to be involved in the running of the resort.

I love to go back to Corbett ... It is never enough of the sheer beauty of the place. Something is unparalleled in the country. This time the plan was little different , take it slow. So decided to go back to barkharat village , may be the memory of presently closed camp forktrail creek kept the hopes alive and I am happy to share that our small trip to Wild TuSker lodge did not disappoint. The place is within the buffer area of Corbett and on a small hillock , covered by deep forest on two sides. At the beginning this place is no five star lodge , but you have nicely done ,spotless clean room, clean bed and toilet, small personalised balcony and nature in abundance. With my limited knowledge I have seen at least twenty different types of bird, other than common ones. The creature comfort is decent with running hot and cold water, ample seating place, good heating in winter ( ac is also there) and ever smiling pleasant and courteous staff . Food definitely worth the mention as a superb plus. There was bonfire , wild life movie show and excellent hospitality in a real great price..... Sometimes we were real surprised with the excellent service level. The team is great and especially the Manager Mr Mahesh is a true gentleman and took personal care of the minutest detail. Took us for multiple treks inside forest, riverbed, and in the neighbouring hills and shared his immense knowledge of the nature to enrich the experience. He kept in touch for last three months , checked our journey and confirmed our arrival to the destination ...This is not a service or hospitality only, this is care personified . Then who should go there ? Everybody who loves nature . This is no swanky resort with swimming pool and spa, but if you want to emerge yourself to a charming little place in the lap of nature this is your place. Need to mention the place is far from RAmnagar and your journey to bijrani is at some distance , resort took care of it. As mentioned earlier the place is on hillock and your car will not reach there. Resort will pick u up with their jeep at no cost. We liked the whole experience and recommend for all jungle lovers. Place is safe for family and couple and young groups can also enjoy it fully.

Wild Tusker Lodge was an eye opener: Luxury amidst wild life all around you. Dinner had never been so exciting which we were having at the Restaurant Deck n suddenly we see a herd of app. 15 deers watching us from across the fence, barely few hundred meters away, the Corbett Park. Early morning you get up to the sweet chirping of birds n when u step out u can see so many different varieties of birds flying / perched all over with lush green surroundings and an amazing hill background. Ideal place for true nature lovers and wild life enthusiasts.

This was my 1st visit to Wild Tusker Lodge made a trip to the property earlier this year and was very impressed by the five star like facilities in a jungle. The lodges provide a great view of the forest and the sprawling verandahs are a treat to sit and enjoy the out doors. The naturalist was a great guide and made sure we saw a tiger. Wild Tusker Lodge is a well thought-through, and beautiful accommodation that offers a wonderful jungle experience. The details gone into ones comfort and yet keeping a jungle feel by maintaining a rustic appeal is brilliant. The elephant grass, wild shrubs and trees at the lodge add to the entire jungle experience. The machaan overlooking the forest offers a view of the 'shepherd' stream and buffer area of the forest and gives one an opportunity to view local wildlife. The enthusiastic, well trained and interactive naturalists keep you thoroughly involved and constantly educated of the surroundings whilst you look for the tiger and discover various surprising aspects of the forest. The warm, courteous staff and a hospitable General Manager ensure the stay is comfortable and special. If its Corbett National Park youre visiting, Wild Tusker Lodge is the ultimate abode. visited this property - end of December, 2012 for a new year holiday (3N/4D) with family and friends. We were a group of 4 couples and kids. Looking at the pictures and the website of the resort, we were full of expectations and hope.. Short review: to borrow from another reviewer, that I agree with - "Beautiful Property, ruined by bad management".. If you have time on you and would like a detailed review, read on.. As I mentioned, we went there for our New Year's holiday and being the kind of busy ppl we are, we wanted an offbeat location, like we always do for our holiday. So main Corbett for us was ruled out. We had a choice between another resort at Marchula and Wild Tusker Lodge - both situated in the forest buffer belts. We finally decided upon this one. We travelled by train till Ramnagar and from there took Innovas to reach the resort. As they claim on their website, the last leg of the journey to reach the place, is to be covered only in a 4 x 4 coz the way is uphill and a dirt-road, full of stones n pot holes.. In name of 4x4, they had an excuse of two Gypsies which were completely run down and ancient. When we reached the resort, we were delighted by the Staff we met there and the cleanliness of the cottages. In hindsight, I know, looks can be deceptive. Resort Location - Good. Though its too small to be called a Resort, I would stick with it for convenience of it. There are no open grounds / no activities to be done in -house. Even the jungle views are not aplenty from the property. For meals - well the lesser said the better. The only meal that we enjoyed there, was the breakfast on our day of arrival. After that the meal quality (taste as well as variety kept going downhill). On two occassions - snacks for one evening and lunch for another day, we took over the kitchen and prepared food for ourselves. While we did this, the Estate Manager (Mahesh) expected us to cook more qty so the same could be served to the other guests as well.. Yeah.. even we thought so, what the hell.. which ofcourse we did not. For Service - At the start, the service was good. There is a guy named - Basant who is a master of all. Cook, Server, Guide - everything. He was helpful, jolly and good at his work. Two other service guys - Mukesh & Naresh- were good too. Cleanliness - Property is nice, well maintained. the location is good. away from the hustle bustle, extrremely quiet. The cottage was clean on our arrival, cleaned only on Day 2 and then rest of the days conveniently forgotten. Supervision & Management - This man - Mahesh, who calls himself an ex-serviceman and the estate manager is a complete failure at his job. He is extremely arrogant and interferring guy. He will be hovering around you/r group, when you are enjoying your eve around bonfire. not in a service-guy manner, but more aiming towards being invited to join in. This, we found wierd. this guy completely ruined our holiday. He picked up a fight with our group on the New Year;s eve, yes.. thats what he did. This is beyond imagation and the worst nightmare. The resort manager picking up a fight with his guests and shouting, screaming and abusing on top of his lungs - coz he was drunk and high. We left the place highly disappointed and dissatisfied. Wish the owners would pay attention to how their place and property is being run and damaged..
