What needs to improve : not accepting card payment for food bill. Reception staff is moody.
Reason For Rating : Liked hotel . Hotel with all amenities, tasty food of all types including gujarati. Staff was very co-operative. Just carry more cash to pay for restaurant bills, as they dont accept card payment for food bills

What needs to improve : TV & AC remotes not working, requiring repeated requests.
Reason For Rating : Staff is polite, rooms are reasonably clean; some regular maintenance issues like TV & AC remote not functioning need to be sorted out. Thanks.

The owner of the hotel really helped us out by ensuring his staff did the paperwork (as a foreign guest) so we could stay there. We stayed in the cheapest option and it was lovely with great facilities but we got to see the higher priced rooms (which are still great for value) with even more modern facilities & space.

Called up and booked three deluxe rooms directly at the hotel , one DBL occupancy and two single at Rs 1925 & 1725 plus vat respectively and the same were confirmed on the phone by the owner himself. The reason I had called and not booked online was that I needed an early check-in at 6 AM . While making the booking I was informed that the rooms for both the category were same and the difference in price was because of the occupancy. Arriving there at the appointed time , was adviced they have the reservation as also the rooms , though it will take some time in cleaning them and making them available to us , however , I would have to pay the DBL occupancy rate for even single occupancy rooms , an excess of Rs 400 plus GST on the commited rate , being tired after a red-eye flight and a one hour drive from Bhubaneswar also not wanting to creat a scene I accepted and around quarter after seven I was given the rooms , though I had to immediately call the house keeping because one of the rooms ( Room No 407 ) had more than 20 dead cockroaches on the floor. There were no towels or toliteries in the room , well the guys from the housekeeping provided me with two one rupee packs of clinic shampoo ( certainly was expecting better for a hotel in this class ) and some worn-out threadbare towels. As I was in town on work and only spending a night there , I even let that pass. Then I inquired about the restaurant on premisses , which was published as a facility on all there listings and publicity material , to be informed that they only offer room service and had no restaurant ( so the mention of onsite restaurant is just a honey trap ) , not expecting a lot from place , I just went out for breakfast. Now coming to the checkout next day , we ordered breakfast in the room at 7AM , which after scores of reminders was finally served around 9AM , finishing the same , we reached down at the reception at around quarter to ten , as the person there was busy helping another guest checkout and as there credit card machine was not functioning properly , it was at 10.10 AM that I finally got to checkout , now imagine my surprise when I was handed a bill for two days , was informed that they have different check-in times for different tarrifs , for online booking the checkout is 12 noon but for direct booking the checkout is 24 hours , a fact that was not communicated to me at the check-in time , I was shown a tarrif printed on there visiting card ( kept at the reception but not given to me ) which said 24 hour checkout in small print. Had this been communicated to us we would not have waited endlessly for the very average breakfast. On requesting them to reconsider , a man , I think the shift manager or someone senior , bluntly told us that it was our duty to check the time and now as it was nearly 1030 and our booking had started at 6 ( it is not important that the rooms were given to us at 730 , but the booking had started at 6:)) we will have to pay for two days , saying that not even waiting for us to respond , he just walked away. The reception staff was apologetic for his attitude and offered to make up for this the next time we stayed with them ( as if this one stay was not punishment enough ) , but expressed there inability to overrule there senior. We payed and walked out calmly , making a note to never come back this below average service , haughtyness and con. From a very seasoned international traveler , the advice would be to just stay away.

I would advise all travelers to stay away from this dump. I am from Dallas Texas I had traveled to Odisha to help the local silver artisan so I went to Cuttak but unfortunately landed in this hotel after reading the reviews on the trip advisor. They are not going to tell you about any charges when you checking out they will present you with a bills that you didnt even know about. So do yourself a favour and find an honest hotel.

This place offers good neat and clean rooms and excellent hospitality and ambience It serves pure vegetarian food and is very popular with travellers and traveling sales people due to budgeted place Has been staying here for last 20 years

I booked this hotel for one night on the way back to Kolkata. I booked the hotel through MakemyTrip. The photos initially shown was quiet impressive. When i reached the hotel and room was allotted to me, to my surprise I found the room was shabby and did not match with the photos. At reception, I was told that the room i booked is Standard room. I wanted to upgrade but the Hotel reception only came up with a proposal of payment of further Rs 500+ but no bill will be provided for that. I called Makemy trip help desk but they only called and enquired. Their role ended there and I felt it to be really unprofessional on their part as well.
