  • Great scenic view, Not so good service, No Wifi

    We booked the hotel from Delhi - and that was a task itself, since they hardly pick up the phone. I had read this in several reviews here before, and things haven't changed much since then. Nobody answers the phone at the reception - 8 out of 10 times. We had to walk up to the reception each time we needed anything.. This was highly annoying. No Wifi - their website and amenities mentioned on other travel websites has FREE WIFI mentioned- and we were on a semi business trip - the wifi was one of the main things we needed - on reaching the hotel we were told that they did not have wifi - and we instantly decided to move to another hotel. The food was ok. Nothing great, but not bad either. One MAJOR point - the hotel is a few 100m from Subhash Chowk - and is on the side of the hill that receives very little or no sunshine at all. So the rooms were bloodyyy coldddd all day and all night. We have moved to another hotel in Gandhi Chowk now and the rooms are much cozier and warmer here. The View - the view is gorgeous from this hotel. The two star rating goes to the scenic view... Another good point - parking isn't a problem at all. Maybe it's the off season rightnow - that could be the reason -but the staff seemed unavailable at most times. Not visiting this place again :(

    The hotel is placed at the best view of oir panjal . The person at reception Mr. Kishan are great n helpfull too . The room services is also good and the food have execellent taste .. rooms conditions are also good we had a enjoyable and memorable tour at dalhousie .

    Traveled with my wife. Got a good deal through ibibo. 1. Hotel is close to bus stand.. only 10 mins walk. So you need not to use taxi to reach hotel which typically ask 150 bucks. 2. Neat and clean spacious rooms. Only negative point is the in-house food. We ordered breakfast. It was quite average.

    Very close to subhash chowk. Have got ample parking. Great views from the hotel and has large rooms. There were small flies in the room and have to ask staff twice to do something about it. Even towels were provided after 2nd reminder. No one picks phone at reception and staff looked very unhelpful.

    Got the hotel booked through Himachal bhawan tourism office in janpath New Delhi. The package was on MAP plan Reached hotel on 19th June morning at 10:00 hrs. Since check-in was at 12 Noon we had to wait for room. The receptionist was unprofessional but this is acceptable with hotels in Dalhousie I suppose. All rooms are differently sized and are inadequately made. Dalhousie hotels the parking is on terrace which is always located on ground floor and then one level below will reception area with restaurant and further below this level will be rooms. This kind of architecture is common because of landscaping terrain. Stay was OK since we hardly spend time in hotel. However want to compliment the staff who was there for service, he was quick with F&B orders, room cleaning requests.

  • The room at the end of the hallway, the center one is possibly the best. At-least, go for the valley facing rooms on the left of the hallway, mesmerizing view.
