Stayed at Serene Ravine with family for 2 days in Dec. It is absolutely an amazing place.Away from the noise of the city and pollution it is heavenly. Situated besides a stream and in the middle of greenery with coconut , arecanut palms and cashew trees it is as close to nature as can be. The early morning walks with a mild winter chill was fantastic. The food they served was wonderful and with a variety of ethnic cuisine for breakfast , lunch and dinner with no menu being repeated. Shekhar and kalyani were very welcoming and guided us to the best places to visit in our short stay at Dapoli. Was a wonderful stay and highly recommended for a unique experince.

A long overdue review!!! but memories of the stay linger on and it has to be written! We stayed at Serene Ravine for 3 nights. It is a delightful, serene, secluded piece of tranquility, nestled amidst the hills. The location of the stay, overlooking the mesmerizing hills; the delectable and delightful homely food - huge spread with fresh catch of the day, authentic and regional delicacies, items never repeated, cooked to perfection!. The care and affection of the Tulpule family was the distinctive part of the stay, which warms our heart every time we think of it. From the time we reached till we left, our hosts made us feel like a part of their family. Shekar came 10 kms down to pick us up and guide us to his place. You get into a conversation with Shekar and time flies. we had long and meaningful conversations about the farm, life in general and on an alternate style of living and life in general. Organic farming is something the Tulpules are passionate about and its a delight to see what they have created and to hear Shekars plans for the future. Shekar helped us plan our trips around the place and his guidance on the best routes and better roads was invaluable. You can enjoy nature at its best. Go for long walks around the farm, by the river, soak in the mini waterfall, listen to the chirping of birds or just sit back and relax do nothing. The fishing trip at night, in the nearby river that hugs the place was memorable. We did not have much luck with our fishing, but how we enjoyed just being down there, waiting, and star gazing. We were lucky to be there to celebrate Diwali with the family. Day 1 we witnessed the Govardhan puja and participated in it with the entire family. The farm has a small cowshed. It was a great feeling seeing a new born calf, feeding jaggery and flowers to the cows and being part of this beautiful ritual. The next day they laid out an impressive spread with lip smacking Diwali treats for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the evening of our last day, Shekar took us to a fish auction nearby where we saw hundreds of vendors and consumers thronging, hoping to get a good bargain on a variety of seafood. Shekar introduced us to his uncle, who as per Shekars words is Dapolis yellow page man and rightly so, he was very knowledgable and we had a great time interacting with him. We took some pictures of the place buzzing with action; fishermen hauling in the day's catch and sorting it, a motley crowd forming around it before the auction begins, the fisherwomen catering to individual customers, gutting and cleaning the fish according to their preference. Thank you Shekar and Kalyani, you guys are wonderful hosts and the friendship that we struck is something we will always cherish. We couldn't ask for more. They say about travel that, Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow, and we cant wait to get back in touch with the magic of the place. We are definitely coming back again!!!

This was our second visit with family and friends. Hosts Shekhar and Kalyani are amazing people and ensured that no stone was left unturned to take great care of us. Local cuisine is a highpoint of Serene Ravine and we were left for wanting more all the time no matter how much we ate. I would love to go back again and again

Beautiful and welcoming home stay in a middle of no where. A lot of people here have mentioned about the waterfall and river nearby which takes your breath away but a special shout out from me to the chef because the food was impeccable. The rooms are spacious and state of art, however the area around the homestay is so beautiful there is hardly any time for you to spend in the room An ideal place for animal lovers where you can spend time and interact with all kinds of domesticated animals. My biggest worry was not being connected because my phone network was zero and there wasn't any data as well but it was the best decision I took. Kalyani and her family is very warm and ever present to always help. I would highly recommend one to visit the place if one wants to switch off from a busy life.

Jacuzzi's are passe when you discover your own private waterfall in the backyard! And by private i mean it! I had heard a lot about the Konkan belt of Maharashtra, the food , the monsoons, the greens, the beaches and Dapoli was everything i had heard and more and thanks to Serene Ravine and the Tulpule family who made our experience authentic to the t! First of all for all the foodies, this is the place to be, gorgeous, authentic Maharashtrian cuisine will fill up your senses. And every meal is different! Like absolutely different. No dishes are repeated. The ukdicha modak, the fish curry, the amboli, the entire review can be about the food! The place is situated near a ravine in a quaint little village in Dapoli. The rooms are neat, there are farms with rubber plantations along with kokum and beetle nut trees! And yes its perfect for the monsoons, spot exotic birds, sips cups of chai, take a walk around in the village, breathe in some good clean air. You can even go visit the beach but we chose to enjoy the private waterfall instead. (we were there for 3 hours by the way :))
