Please stay away from this hotel. The hotel owners cheat you. I have booked the rooms through goiBibo, and the hotel has forced us to stay in an alternate accommodation which is at a distance of 5 km from this hotel. I along with two families reached hotel at around 9 45pm, and finally got into another hotel at around 11 45pm. Sincere suggestion "Stay Away". Don't risk your family by staying on roads in midnights. Worst hotel.

There are a number of homestays in Batasia. We chose Wangdi Inn as it was nearest to the Blue Pine Restaurant and Bar.... our favourite food joint. The chicken sizzelers there are simply amazing. Any way this homestay has wonderful views of the Kanchenjunga range as opposed to others. You must remember these people are just trying to better their business. And improvements are being made as per tourists demands. Far from the hussle and bustle of Darjeeling this idyllic destination may be a good idea.

Friendly Owner and his family is the only good thing about the Place, it is small home stay with few rooms and place need to be done up , there is lot to be added into the room as the facilities are basic when compared to the price you pay

If you wish to enjoy Darjeeling, but not the crowd, this is the place to stay. Yes, rooms are tiny, but the hospitality is good. The place is right on the main road, on way to Darjeeling, 5minutes walk to the Ghoom monastery and the Batasia loop Gorkha War memorial garden. A point to be aware for folks with joint pain, you need to climb a few steps to reach the doors of the homestay, and then again climb a few more steps to go to your room :-)

I'm normally not a harsh reviewer(check my other reviews) but this one is an exception. The only purpose to be brutally honest here is so my other tripadvisor fellas dont get to experience what we(group of 7) did. I wish tripadvisor gave option of 0 rating 1) Locality is way far from the main city and is basically a "chawl" with poor and labor class people living around. Open drainage systems, filthy surrounding and houses, a PIG slaughter house right behind the building 2) Stinky rooms, dirty bed sheets, they have carpet pieces on the floor instead of a proper flooring, open drainage system even in the bathrooms. To be specific when you use washbasin the waste water flows openly on the bathroom floor till the drain strainer nearby. 3) FILTHY kitchen. They day we checked in, looking at the poor dirty place we wanted to check the kitchen before even drinking the water provided and yikes. Dirtiest kitchen one can ever see. 4) Mosquitoes, insects, etc roam freely inside and outside the room, to keep them and the foul smell away we use to keep lighting incense sticks/ agarbatti all the time. DO NOT fall in the trap based on online pictures etc. AVOID this place even if you are left with only this place to stay in Darjeeling.
