Had an excellent homestay at Everest Hut. Tashi (always laughing and jumping around ) and his family were very professional and co-operative to our needs. This is a homestay so please don't expect facilities that of a hotel or resort. Bathrooms were clean with dettol handwash (sumthing I liked a lot). Geysers were working most of the time and hot water was available. Quality of food and service n all was very good and value for money. Our send off was something very special and hospitality of the entire Sherpa family was awesome...simply awesome. They also arranged cars for local sight seeing. On a clear sky Mt Kanchendzonga is clearly visible from the balcony. Its location is just on the road with Lamahatta garden at a walking distance. We were a group of 14 and Mr Tashi and his wife made sure all guests felt at home. Bonfire etc was also arranged on request. Keep up the good work and overall highly recommended. Best place to stay if ur in Lamahatta

In my opinion Everest Hut homestay resort in Lamahatta village is where tourist can enjoy an eco-friendly holiday experience. The road side mountain village with its vast stretching forests of dhupi and pine trees, magnificent views of peaks and rivers flowing around us just amazing to watch. The rooms in this resort are very simple and basic but clean and there is attached western toilets available. All the rooms come with attached geysers so that hot water is adequate. They prepare and serve home made awesome food in a seperate dining space which is an ideal way to get to know the local culture and people. They provide jungle tent facilities with provision of lights. I strongly recommend to get a local Sherpa or guide from the property owners for your tour. There is no debate that accomodation option is the best you can get here and is absolutely fantastic services within a fair budget.

Just loved the stay, sunrise and hospitality of Tashi family at Lamahatta. Picture postcard like views of Kanchendzonga peaks observed on a mid monsoon August morning from the balcony of this homestay. The location is slightly on the upper side from the Ecopark and hence the views were uninterrupted. Tashi Shepra called us early morning just when the peaks were visible. Food served was hot and very tasty to our buds. Snacks not included in the package. That's quite strange. Cost is on higher side (rs 600 per head on off season) compared to the room rents. No restro as such. Food served inside room or in open terrace. Rooms are cosy but clean. Good toilet, stinky towels. Eco park is around 500m downhill front its entrance. Ample space outside the homestay for ur private parking. From here u can plan a forest trek to the ecopark sacred pond (0.5km), Takdah (10km), Tinchuley (7km), Cave points (5.5km), Peshoke tea garden (5km) or Tiger Hill (10km).

Everest Hut homestay at Lamahatta is one of the better options for stay at the place. You would be guests at Tashi and Sushila Sherpa's house who offer excellent hospitality and care. The rooms are comfortable, reasonably priced and big. A terrace at the ground level adjoining the rooms is a wonderful place to relax after finishing the trek to the sacred water body on top of the Lamahatta hill. The food is good and in plenty, as usual. However the food package does not include evening snacks. A wonderful experience awaits you during checkout, but let that be a secret. ...
