Excellent place to stay. Staffs are courteous and cordial. We asked for few changes in the menu and it was accepted. Rooms were beautiful. Special reference to Mr.Apurba Sengupta he just made us feel as if we r staying in our own home. Would definately suggest this to others

There is restriction for the vehicles to reach till the Resort. One has to drop far away from the resort and walk down. Hotel people are drag your luggage to the hotel. Hotel rooms are big with WI Fi, T. V., Tea making facility. However foof was not good at all. Same is the case with breakfast

This hotel is well positioned for the town, with lovely views of Kanchenjunga and the Himalayas, The rooms are large and clean and the service excellent. The food was delicious and, although there was no alcohol on the premises, the waiters were happy to bring some for us when we asked. There is a roof terrace to sit and gaze at the mountains, weather permitting, of course.

This is not a resort and has NO open area,ie, a lawn to sit out. The only sitting area is on the terrace which is at road level. The name Resort is misleading as its just a building, off a road. This place catches no cell phone signal which is very inconvenient. The food is terrible - I fell sick with a tummy upset. They had no medicine to offer either. There is no parking available and neither are vehicles allowed up to the hotel. Be prepared to carry your luggage. The extra blankets provided were stained and not clean. A litre of mineral water costs Rs 50/- Vs Rs 20/- which is the price outside. The hotel is overpriced and an absolute rip off. We got a 40% discount and paid Rs3600/- + 18% tax, but its still not worth the price. You can get cheaper places (half the price) to stay at the Chowrasta which is the ideal location to stay if you want to stay close to town.

We visited Darjeeling in the last week of February 2018 and stayed for 3 nights. Hotel Hermitage situated near Raj Bhavan away(about half a kilometer) from the hustle and bustle of the Mall with majestic view of Mt. Kanchenjonga provides for a peaceful stay. The rooms are very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was good. The staffs are very cordial but lack in professionalism. Overall a nice place to stay and would suggest this Hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Darjeeling with one of the best view of Mt. Kanchenjunga.
