If you are in a big group say more than 6 you may omit some issue but its complete no for a family travel. This hotel was being charged by goibibo Rs 2000 per night but where they generally sell it for 900 to 1200 rupees per night. The rooms , room service , and the approach of of the staffs were the rudest of the rude. I contacted the hotel as i was entering into darjeeling and they replied that come to bhanu bhavan and from there you have to take coolies.THE FIRST BIG BELOW AS NO WEBSITE MENTION THIS. When you start walking with coolies you understand the pains and pleasure of mountain travel.. in some time we crossed the narrow dirtiest past just by the side of "ever perfumed" horse stable. As you finish the stable then there comes a dessent ie downward slope of 70 degrees which care fully advance and reach and meet the most inhospitable reception. Having enterd the visitor details you required to enter the details for police records. The most horrible part was the approach to your rooms from the reception which is steep downstairs from it with no railing.

  • Do not stay in Hotel Ivy Castle in Darjeeling

    by RoshanK517 on

Never ever stay in this dirty filthy hotel..staffs as well as owner are very rude..they act as if they are doing a favour to guests. We stayed for 3 nights in the hotel and not a single day they serviced the room. If you have to order dinner which is roti and aloo you have to inform before 6 pm or you sleep empty stomach. We ordered tea and they replied milk nahi he...imagine how difficult it was for me to stay in an uncleaned bed linen for 3 days with 10 months baby. I will never forget my stay in this dirty and rubbish hotel with fools

  • Satisfactory service in budget rate

    by jitukumar123 on

Budget rates make this place affordable with satisfactory service. Many families and couples come here, backpackers also visit this place. Location is scenaric place, all attractions are nearby and mountain view room is available from room. Highly decorated room.

  • Terrible experience

    by dhruv s on

Huge mistake. Didn't know whether we had gone for a holiday or To work for the hotel. Don't go for the pictures either. Anything u ask them.. There is zero cooperation from the staff, in fact they ask you to do the needful. Ridiculous
