This resort can be reached from Rongbull in Hill Cart Road, a few kilometres before Jorbunglow ( if you are coming from Kurseong). It is in the Kaleej valley, a 5 Km steep downhill drive from Rongbull and the condition this road is a pity but the landscape around the resort is something that you will remember for quite some time. The cottages are in very good location and you will be able to view the tea gardens from all of them. The "Rock" cottage is perhaps the best in all aspects and there is also a Duplex Cottage with two bathrooms. Although, the size of the cottages are moderate but the service is pretty good and Annu is always ready to help you. The food quality is excellent and the charges are moderate. The behaviour of all the staffs is good and the atmosphere within the resort is homely. If you wish to stay here please contact Mr Simon Rai (proprietor) directly over phone (09832616970) and he will make all necessary arrangements. It is also advisable to book you vehicle from Mr. Simon since he will provide you with local drivers who are used to drive in these difficult roads and in additon, the charges will be nominal.

In the lap of Himalaya ,with the open view of so many snowpeaks, among the deep dark woods, but safe and secure..with all hospitalities in such a remote corner , where transportation is really matters. The staffs are cordial and caring. It is a memorable experience staying here.

Yes, this is a place of endless peace in the hills of North Bengal. The first glimpse from the road above the resort was breathtaking as it is tucked in the slope of a lush green tea garden. Cottages painted in different colours were looking like a permanent rainbow! The rooms are small but cozy, toilets are clean. Food is simple yet mouthwatering. People are good, though we could not meet Mr Salmon, the owner of this beautiful property. The natural beauty of the area along with the village on the way are very interesting along with a pretty waterfalls. This is really a lesser known heaven, not very far from the famous hill station Darjeeling. One can easily visit popular places of interest in and around Darjeeling from Rainbow valley Resort.

A beautiful monsoon long weekend during Aug,2014.Its a great place to unwind your mind and soul and look at the clouds coming and leaving you for the whole day making a strong impression. The resort and rooms were quite good, the behaviour of the staff were really nice, but the food offered to us were not upto the mark, got an impression they were new in the business and will improve over time. But for us it was the experience of a lovely stay that still holds on to our mind.Recommended for those who loves solitude amidst green tea estates and Hills of North Bengal.
