We spent two nights at the Talabgaon Castle Heritage Resort at the end of our three week tour of Rajasthan. It is a beautiful property, with white marble rooms/suites, attractive gardens (with, strangely, a resident emu!) and a lovely pool and poolhouse. There are plans to add 26 more rooms to the existing 24, in a separate building, in future. We had a very interesting village walking tour through Talabgaon village (just outside the Castle). We also enjoyed a Rajasthani musical performance on our second night, with dancers, musicians and an impressive fire-eater. All staff members, as well as the owner Dalpat Singh Rathore whom we also briefly met, were friendly, polite and welcoming. The food was very good and our final breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a treat. This is an excellent place to stop over if you are travelling between Ranthambore and Jaipur, as we were. It is slightly off the beaten track but worth the minor detour for the peace and serenity you find.

I stayed here twice in November 2018 with a group of 91 and 92 mainly UK women who cycled through Rajasthan to raise funds for Jo's cervical cancer trust, Ovarian Cancer action and Breast Cancer Care under the umbrella of Women V Cancer. We booked the hotel rooms and we hired swiss tents, who were as comfortable as the amazing rooms in the castle. The hospitality was absolutely terrific, we all felt at home and wanted to stay forever ... This is truly a magnificent place to stay, well maintained an absolutely worth a visit! My family and I were on a visit to the various wildlife sanctuaries in this part of the country, so after visiting sarika we spent a night here before we moved to ranthambore. We left sarika at 7 pm, and reached the resort by around 10pm, too late to enjoy the magnificent property. We were regularly checked upon by the resort on where we had reached , which was really nice of them. Just about when we reached, I hadn't noticed a drain when backing my car to take the turn into the gates of the resort as there were no Street lights. The left set of tyres fell into the drain, no body was hurt, but the people at the resort noticed . Quickly a few of them rushed to our aid and within 30 mins we had the car out of the drain and safely parked in the resort. Thank you to the people at the resort, what you did was really kind. We stayed at one of the watch towers , and had a memorable stay. The foods great and so is the hospitality. Because this is between two wildlife sanctuaries, you get to see the entire milky way on a clear night sky. Don't miss witnessing this ever, it's anyway so hard to see stars clearly these days in the city.

On first impression this is a beautiful hotel within lovely grounds. Suite 102 very tired looking and in need of refurbishment. Cobwebs and dust visible. Upholstery marked and in need of a clean. Three of our group became extremely poorly after eating BBQ meal during evening entertainment. Breakfast staff are pleasant but are not dressed accordingly. Please note that you are charged between 17% and 18% when using a credit card at this hotel of which you cannot obtain a printed receipt for. We never experienced this at any of the other four hotels we stayed at. Make sure you take enough cash or be prepared to pay this "charge". Would not stay here again.
