Was a decent place. Over charged place. Did not like the interior and service provided by them. Ac was not working and electricity failure and other reasons. I am sorry to say that I will not visit that place again

We booked the hotel for 1 night. We left joshimath at 5am and arrived in dehradun at 5pm so as you can imagine we were exhausted. On arrival at the hotel we were told they didn't have our booking, I then showed them the confirmation email. What had happened is they had greedily resold our room and they only had the higher category rooms available. I work in the travel industry and in these situations would have offered the upgraded room at no extra cost for their mistake. They offered us an upgraded room at 200 rupees more and even with how exhausted I was would not accept this out of sheer principle. The managers attitude was disgraceful and can not believe he works in hospitality!!!!!!!!!!

We arrived at Dehradun as international backpackers with a bus from rishikesh,and our tuk tuk driver brought us to the Tyagi road.After walking into a number of hotels,and realising they were all full,we found Hotel Abhinandan who quoted us price of 400INR per person(strange,as we thought its always price/room!). The front desk initially had issues with one of us staying,cuz of having an Indian ID,a valid DL(another super strange thing!),but after speaking to their 'manager'/owner on phone,it was cordially resolved. The stay was not the best in terms of room.The rooms were really small,and the bathrooms didn't even have a shower head.While taking shower one of the bathroom windows fell outwards,exposing all the dirt and garbage which was stuck there ,including rappers and condom packets etc! The bedsheets weren't super clean either.There was also a supposed gas leaks in one of the make shift kitchens ,and they shut down the pipeline only after we reported the smell at 2330 hrs in night! Also,we were refused wifi when we asked for password,but again when we insisted that we needed it,and were even ready to pay for it,some backstage management and decisions then let us use it! Will also like to mention up sides though,which included a really good terrace,nice waiters and smiling staff,a helpful cordial owner,a really good food menu which wasn't very expensive and yet was very delicious.The wifi worked pretty well in the room! Another thing worth to mention here,is that they made us fill the C- forms ourselves,which almost took an hour for us.Isnt it the job of the front desk to sort those things out themselves?we never encountered such an issue before,even in small scale backpacker hostels! In a nutshell,maybe for a lower budget,we would have overlooked all these,but for such a big hotel and paying 800INR a night,more is expected!(The Owner seemed really enterprising,and i am sure he can fill these small blanks up!!)

We got a very bad experience of welcome and checkout by the front desk boy and the owner was their and he also haven't the manners to deal with guests. no restaurant was there. in rainy season please avoid this hotel because the rooms are on first & second floor and the passage for room is through MS staircase which is open and risky in rain.

we got a very bad welcome by the front desk girl and a boy who had to call up their boss to let me n my family stay in the hotel , for which we had a prior booking done via makemytrip.com, and after a long conversation and debate they had let us into their room, but the question is, if showing the booking slip of make my trip and following every other details in the slip is not sufficient then what should be done more? it is a request to make my trip to make things clear with the hotel administration, and place reliable and firm receptionist who can take decisions and wont call up their boss like a sissy girl. And when asked for identification I showed my pan card which they said is not valid :D, where as in my booking slip it was clearly written about any govt I card with photo will work , well they had harassed me n my family a lot and tried that we dnt check in but we were tired n had to argue n request in the end to let us in, even I had to talk with their boss. The next day we went to Mussourie on a car arranged by the hotel, that was the only good deal or experience we got from the hotel, and yeah .. the location is pretty good with a descent budget. Just a bit improvement in the staff might make this hotel a better place to stay specially the guy and the black girl who stays in morning shifts.
