If you want to reclaim & redeem yourself! Then this is the place for you to head to. The camp is on the mountain surrounded by the Dhauladhars range and a gushing stream. The winds just add to the mood of the place. Very very warm Hospitality and simple but delicious food. You will meet a camp Dog April, who will surely become a friend!

sorry for the late review..Amazingly comfortable stay, delicious authentic indian food served with so much love as if we were family members( we literally over ate each meal)extra courteous and polite owners and staff members be it cook, driver, staff helping in kitchen or cleaning rooms or the guides who took us to different sights. Words fall less to describe the hospitality. The weather was very hot during the day especially if u are in the tents but pleasant in the evenings you may also hv to carry a jacket. So its advisable to do sight seeing during the day and come back to the tents in the evening

I got referred by my friend to visit Camp Lungta. We were travelling around mid May. We were travelling with cousins and with 5 kids I was quite unsure and sceptical of how the place would be. But WOW , the place, the experience, the serenity, the rawness, purity and above all the People & Food turned out to be simply awesome and unforgettable which makes us want to revisit again ! Camp Lungta is located approx 5-6 kms from Dharamshala city , in a valley with a small lake flowing down and you can see the gigantic mountain ranges up ahead. We were in mid may so it was a bit warm at noon - so we used to go out for city tour during noon time - but as soon as the sun used to set, the weather would become colder with cool breeze flowing across the valley. The tents are quite modern and clean and so are the fittings and amenities. There are couple of good activities to be done - like hiking up the mountain to the vulture point / trekking for approx. 3-4 kms to slate mines / village walk / trek to the lake etc. But above all the most important aspect of Camp Lungta are the Owners, attendants and Staff. Their simple, helping and eversmiling nature will leave you mesmerized. Mr. Rana - the owner, Jitu, Beena, ( I am not recalling the other names ) were amazing. The food was so so so so amazing and delicious that we used to desperately wait for it. We look forward to visiting this place again sometime in future and would strongly recommend everyone to visit this place !!

Stayed at the camp with 10 friends !!! A trip i won't forget.. U go up the hill in a bolero .. thats where the adventure starts .. and u are only surrounded by mountains and fresh air .. and some sheep Amazing hospitality by the staff .. food is scrumptious.. the way one sits and eats on the floor is superb ... The tents are very comfortable. So are the beds and duvets !! It may get a bit hot in the day inside the tent .. so stay out .. its an absolute chill zone . Mc leod ganj and dharamshala city took me an hr every day coz of traffic, to reach .. off peak hrs and weekdays are better Do the trek for sure !!! Its FANTABULOUS.. Being one with nature is great . Special mention to the staff .. they are very courteous and helpful .. This place is about 3 kms from norbulinka institute which has a great coffee shop .. Pls stay at lungta .. its an experience to cherish
