What's Good: Friendly staff no fuss whatsoever
What needs to improve : Location is a bit inside narrow road, but walkable. It has valley view not peaks.
Reason For Rating : Good stay staff was amicable and homely. We had a toddler and they helped whenever we requested some support.

The hotel in a charming town is set amidst the majestic Himalayas . The 200 year old country manor house built in traditional hill architecture with beautifully furnished rooms offering a breathtaking view of Kangra Valley and Pongdam Lake. The understated elegance of the hotel, its old world charm and the surrounding beauty of the mountains all come together to make it a perfect magical experience. The ambience of deep-rooted heritage and ingrained hospitality quietly pervades the establishment The interiors /decor of the 14 rooms / suites and the dining area in Grace Hotel are all in-line with the old world charm and dignity of the country manor. The rooms are named after various national & international dignitaries. We enjoyed our 2 day stay in Sardar Patel Suite. with excellent service. Camp fire in the open terrace on the new year day was simply awesome !! A magical experience indeed!

Trusted on the ratings and booked the hotel. It has actually nothing. Rooms are bad, towels are stinking. Food have specific timings beyond which you do not get anything. The options are a few. Rates are bomb but value is Zero. Please Avoid to Not to Spoil Your Holiday.

Quite a unique place to stay - more like being a house guest than staying at a hotel. Full of character, rickety and charming. Clean and tidy with comfortable rooms and nice food, though not exceptional. Dont go expecting five star facilities and service by European standards, but if you can suspend these expectations youll feel immersed in a piece of the history of India. By the way, if you want a cold beer, order it in advance because they have to send a boy off up the road to the shops and it doesnt always arrive chilled. You just have to go with the flow!

It was an unplanned trip we had and we opted this hotel because of its tie up with one of the reputed bank. As per our experience hotels which are linked with our bank is supposed to be great. But our expectations are bit more. It was very over priced. View is also not very great. Rooms are spacious and have heritage look but you may get some broken doors, windows and chairs. Food is homely but the restaurant timing is little concern. After 10 no food in breakfast as well as in dinner. Overall its nice as we did not get any other option in Dharamshala better than this.

Visited this place multiple times. Its a family home of the first Chief Justice of india and ex PM of Kashmir who oversaw its integration with India. Very Himachali heritage design. Lovely valley views. If you happen to be at the hotel and have a chance to meet the owner Mr. Yogi Mahajan that would be incredible. You can learn Sahaja yoga meditation and without any extra charge. The vibrations of the place are awesome. Great Indian food. All meals We had only at the hotel. Friendly and Courteous staff. They made sure we had a wonderful time. We would like to come back here every time we are here in Dharamshala. Do visit the Sahaja yoga ashram and exhibition Center at talnoo, naddi - which is about 7 kms from the hotel. The hotel staff will guide you on request. Spectacular dhauladhar views from there and an immersive spiritual experience at talnoo.
