I with my husband visited in 1st week of Feb'18 for a 1 night 2 day package.. truly a memorable stay! We reached Bhuj early morning & opted for the 8:15 am scheduled transfer to Dhordo Tent city, which proved to be a good decision as it easily takes about 3 hours to reach dhordo including a refreshment stop. At Bhuj Station, they have specially setup a big comfortable tent with restrooms, tea/coffee for guests to wait before transfer, saving one from waiting outside in chilly weather. Welcome at Tent city was very warm & hospitable. After check-in formalities, you are taken to your tent via colourfully decorated electric carts. The luggage gets delivered directly as it was guest tagged at Bhuj waiting area, making it a hasslfree check-in. We had opted for Non-AC tents which we found very spacious, comfortable and clean with all the basic amenities, toiletries, blankets etc. The bathroom space is done nicely, but hot water comes only upto a specific time. The food 4 times a day at the buffet hall was good with variety. If you wish to visit White Rann via camel, the queue starts early around 4 but it's a lot of fun, which we loved. White Rann.. the highlight of the trip is too gorgeous and pristine, you would just not wanna leave. It's a geological wonder! Please note, rann visit happens only in evening not at night, however only on full moon night they do it at night also, so plan on full moon if possible. We terribly regretted not been able to visit at night. There are many recreational facilities within the premises right from no. of adventure games, ziplining, cycling to cultural performances at night, star gazing, magic & puppet shows, mehndi, morning yoga & what not! Loved the cultural shows. There also is a lovely market setup to buy local ethnic souvenirs however there is another one outside tentcity which also you can check for price comparison. On 2nd day, post check-out they took us for a short bhuj city visit however pls try that you aren't checking out on Monday as on Monday, Bhujodi - handicraft village & craft park is closed, which we missed out on. Strongly recommend this experience with family as your parents would really enjoy and so would kids. One can easily move around tent city via electric carts making it very comfortable for elderlies. Yes, cost is high however it certainly is a unique experience.

The place was very good. located right on the bank of white desert. Gujarat government has initiated this festival and made this tourist attraction world famous. They are doing this event with private operators on contract basis. They are doing very hard work for tourist comfort but due to some reasons they are not making it perfect. Tents here are not well maintained. Food here is also good but not up to the mark. Whatever the charges they are taking from tourist, They can give more luxury.

Colourful skies, white sands, exciting festivities, delicious food and luxurious tents make Rann Utsav, Kutch a mist visit. A vibrant festival happening from November February every year in the heart of Gujarat, this is a once in a lifetime experience. The Tent City is located at Dhordo Village, Kutch, approximately 2 hours away from the historical city of Bhuj. With a host of activities to keep you busy and an enthralling atmosphere, Rann Utsav will make you feel alive as you blend into the beautiful Gujarati culture. After a long journey from Mumbai to Bhuj and then to Dhordo, we settled into the comfort of our splendidly made tents. With a cozy bed, attached bathroom, heater, 24/7 room service, a small living area and basic amenities, this is the ultimate definition of a luxury tent. We loved the delicious vegetarian food served 4 times a day in their common buffet. Take a trip to the white sands of Rann of Kutch or explore local village life or trek up a famous hill. The white sands will leave you astounded. The Tent City too had multiple activities inside like games, cultural performances, shows, flea markets, adventure activities, etc. They have golf carts and electric cars to ferry you around the place which is very good, especially for senior citizens as the area is huge. It is very well coordinated and well maintained and the staff was polite and helpful. Their gorgeous indoor spa left us fit and rejuvenated after a long day of walking in the sun. Whether its with family or friends Rann Utsav is an experience you cant miss!

Royalty Redefined - This place is a must must go for relaxation & rejuvenation. We had booked 3-4 weeks in advance but when we realized that our stay did not coincide with a full moon, we asked them to reschedule our stay to a full moon night. Would recommend everyone to go there only on full moon night as they arrange night exercusion on these days only. For the entire duration of the stay, you would need not spend anything at all. From the time of their pick-up from the railway station to the drop-off at the railway station, all is pre-arranged. We had chosen a tent with all full amenities. All tents have a attached bathroom. Hot tea is served in the tent daily and supreme food is served at the dining area for breakfast, lunch, high-tea and dinner. They arrange for 3-4 desert safaris at morning, evening and midnight. Cultural program is average and avoidable. The choice of optional trip is Kala Dungar & Mandvi beach. We had chosen Kala Dungar and would suggest it is better than Mandvi beach. You can gaze at the stars in the night through a brilliant telescope, helped by a guide. The room alloting takes a lot of time but is fine. You need mobiles to contact the staff as there is no landline. We went on a Republic Day and were treated to the best parade of Republic Day by the army guards. To watch the white sand in the background of a full moon is simply gorgeous. We went twice to the desert in 2 days and enjoyed both sunrise & moonrise. Amenities like campfire are great. Overall, would suggest as a must must visit!!!!
