What's Good: very good for pleasant stay with good location.
What needs to improve : No moscuito killer, no breakfast and Bed sheet and Towels are dirty .
Reason For Rating : Hotel clean but moscuitoes disturbed very much in night time. And it would be better if Breakfast is provided complimentary as they charge the rent high. Waiters service are satisfactory but they ask for tips frequently. After all it was a pleasant stay.

Whenever I visit Digha for the last 20 years, I stay in Sea Hawk since its room size, and spacious hotel interior with lawn and tree plantation gives me pleasure though unfortunately they have not developed the ambience hopefully i.e. toilet at restaurant, appropriate tile finishing in some rooms like other modern hotels. But recently I had to experience of inferior nature during my stay at room 273 (Non AC) for which I had to pay Rs.14160/- for 3 days. During the day time the stay is very pleasant but from evening you will not be able to stay peacefully for mosquitos and insects which becomes so extreme that I could not sleep well in night which is highly embarrassing. Whenever I called to have the requisite spray in the room, that can hardly be attended after 4 to 5 calls. I requested the Reception to part with a Spray bottle during my stay to use by ourselves when needed, but they said they have only two bottle, one for old building and one for new. I think, non sleep night during excursion can not be compromised. I hope the Hotel Management should think about it.

The hotel location is great. It is just beside sea. It has sea view room. The hotel is old but they have maintained well. We have a nice 3 night stay. The beach is just 3 mins walk from the hotel. But a little modernized touch will be nice.

Except location nothing Good about hotel. Dirty property, odor smelling, staff are very non cooperative. Please do not book this hotel when with family n child. Whole property is un_hygine. Ac has no remote

I was there at Digha with my family and stayed at this hotel from 8th to 11th June, 2018 at room number 284. I booked this hotel from Kolkata on 25th April, 2018 by making a payment of Rs. 8850 in full for 3 nights stay in a sea-facing AC room (including 18% GST) and the only reason to book this hotel was its excellent location. Arguably this hotel is situated at the best possible location at Old Digha Sea Beach as far as the sea view is concerned. I stayed there before as well and knew that this hotel is lacking most of the modern amenities but still I booked this hotel just because I wanted a proper "Sea facing" room at Old Digha. Considering my previous visits at Sea-hawk this one was the worst. As expected (as per my last visit), the AC and TV were not working in the room. It was little tough to live with my 2 little kids in a very hot and humid summer so I had to fight with the hotel management for repairing the AC. Fortunately after around 1.5 hours they could fix the AC however it was direct (just on and off; no controlling as such). We had to adjust with it as at least we could work as remote control by making it on and off whenever it's required. TV didn't work and who cares for TV for 3 days Digha visit. But do remember, I booked this room (room no. 284) on 25th April and I did mention about all these probable issues in time of booking only and they assured me that all the issues (if any) will be sorted out at the hotel during my stay. They kept their promise and fixed the AC ;) My main concern was the behaviour of the Hotel's staff. The room service boys were just behaving like nagging beggars and I failed make them happy even after paying Rs. 500 as tips. They started showing their true colours when I made the complete payment. My biggest mistake was I made the complete payment a little before my check-out and they had just enough to make my day spoil in next 30 minutes or so. My scheduled check-out time was 12:00 PM and anticipating all probable delays I ordered my lunch to be served at my room around 10:30 AM what they promised to do. I started making phone calls to Room service/Restaurant when it was not served even at 10:45 AM. After making several phone calls they served lunch at 11:22 AM. I made the final payment (food bill) around 12:10 PM and told them I would vacate the room in next 15 minutes or so. I was ready with all my luggage and about to call the room service to help me to carry my bags to my car as I have two little kids, I received a phone call from the reception and the person on the other end was asking for the clarification quite rudely for not vacating the room when it's already 12:20 PM. I humbly explained the reason for delay and requesting them to send someone from room service to help me with the check-out (to carry my bags). I waited for another 5-10 minutes but no one came and I had to carry all my luggage in 3-4 trips. Please note, it was my mistake to pay all the tips beforehand and was expecting a "quality" service. Forget "quality" unfortunately there was no service at all. With all these minus points you can still stay at Sea-Hawk but never ever pay any tip or make the final payment not even a second before you are leaving the hotel premises. No need to be "extra-polite" with the room service boys because they simply don't deserve it. Pay the minimum tip. One more thing, I would like to mention here is that the quality of the food they serve here, has been degraded drastically since my last visit around July-2017. They are making the food unnecessary spicy. Chicken is no better than chewing gum. Try to avoid the breakfast even the roadside tea stalls serve better quality of bread than them. Hope this review will help to chose your hotel wisely at Old Digha.

Superb location. Best in Digha. Choose a room with sea facing balcony. Preferable Room No 286. Though hotel rooms are old, location wise there is no compare. Food is also good and made to order. Staff expects tips.
