Traveled in April 2018. The room service behaviour was very good and even the foods. I was provided the topmost room and was thus not disturbed at all. It was a peaceful stay with a wonderful view from the windows and balcony. The night view was great. The best part, right beside the hotel a series of stairs lands you right on M G Marg so you can easily have an evening stroll at the Marg.

Location is its biggest advantage. The City Centre is about 50 steps upwards (if you fancy climbing stairs). Previous management have been discarded, and the new management have revamped the rooms. But the room service still needs to buck up. An average,budget hotel.You get your money's worth.

Was travelling via Gangtok to go North Sikkim in April so stayed at Mandala hotel however hotel staff is pathetic and food served is not as expected in Gangtok. Please do something about the room hygiene as the carpet was dusty and the room was stinking. When complained the house keeping guy had a bad attitude and rude. Will not visit this hotel ever again..

We booked a room for 3 days. We were given room in the top floor, though the view was good but it was really difficult to climb five floor every time we went out, so we requested for a lower floor room. This room was so small in size, the bed occupied max space, there was no room to move around. The room was shabby, the lavatory was Indian and not that clean. The hotel is just on the main road, its really difficult to walk on the road due to busy traffic. The hotel manager is not around for long, you cannot talk to him as required and he is very inefficient. they do not have any tours option, they get it done through other agents and hence it will cost you really much if you go through the hostel. its better to contact the tours directly.The restaurant is also not worth a try, it is better to opt for dominos that is just across the road. It is really overpriced and not at all recommended.

We booked the hotel for two nights and had a horrible experiences there. First of all, the hotel is situated at such a place where it is difficult to cross the road as there are too many vehicles passing by the hotel. We had never seen such a pathetic hotel before. First of all, 1. Bed Sheets are unclean and the blankets were unclean and torn. So, we asked them to change those things but they had replaced them with another torn blanket. 2. There were mouse roaming in the room. We told them about it but they replied that they won't take any action and eventually, they did not bother to provide good services to us. 3. Their behaviour is too rough and even the owner behaved badly with us. 4. Poor TV quality and there were no night lamps in the room. Overall, a horrible experience and I will never go there again.
