What's Good: The serene location
What needs to improve : No in room dining services
Reason For Rating : The hotel is least like a hotel. It's a kind of an unmaintained haveli, without in room dining options.

We drove down to the Unchagaon fort after reviewing it online for the weekend. The property is set in a small township depicting the traditional village culture of UP. The fort is a majestic presentation of the British era and has huge rooms and a comfortable living. The food is amazing with Indian and continental food on offer. The staff is extremely courteous and hospitable. In short a Highly recommended weekend spot. Very well done indeed.

I visited unchagaon with my family members. The room booked by me was a family room which on arrival was changed. Iwas charged 11k rupees for one night. Buscuts served with tea were stale. Dinner hall was unkept with poor cutlery and linen. Food was tasteless. In the room curtains were torn and in rags ,mattress was lumpy, towel was dirty, geyser leaking and place not at all maintained. On complaining I was promised refund and its going to be a year inspite of repeated reminders, false promises made by mr shashank( manager or owner),were never fulfilled . Poor value for money so it is not recommended. Very pathetic photo cannot be uploaded due to some error.

Truly it's a GEM... Just odd 150 kms from the heart of Delhi, Fort Unchagaon is an ideal place to relax among lush green surroundings and tranquil atmosphere. A fine 18th century haveli aesthetically renovated by Aspen group of hotels, it truly offers peace from the hustle of city life. Although the approach to the property is a bit arduous (don't trust Google Maps rather ask someone in the front desk of the property), once you reach here, the grand facade of the Fort and well maintained garden welcome you with all its serenity and make you forget the back breaking path to hotel. Mr. Manish at front desk was really agile through the check in process and let us comfortably in our rooms. The rooms are well maintained with specific focus on retaining the old world charm, the antique furniture finely blending the regal and contemporary look. Food served is quite the biggest attraction... All the meals served were tasty and served with affection. Fort too offers it's guests complimentary bullock ride to the village nearby where one can indulge in activities such as pottery making and jaggery making. Property has its own stable with a couple of high pedigree horses which can be ridden under guidance. Overall a really nice property for spending weekend with family and friends pretty near to Delhi and worth recommending. Aloha!!

We went to Unchagaon on an extended weekend to be away for a while. The Fort is a white huge heritage old living palace thats not been converted into a resort. The management of Aspen has done some fabrications but have done excellent job in maintaining the heritage depict of those times. Rooms have all the modern day amenities and the property has a lot of attractions, like a museum inhouse, huge mango orchards and an outdoor heritage pool. Some in-house activities like Pottery, Horse rides and cultural shows are an added charm to your evening. All in all must visit
