We stayed three weeks, first in the duplex that we booked in advance (when we booked it was the only one available) and then we switched in two single bungalows. The duplex is ok but the room downstairs (ground floor) has no door to enter from the outside, so to get in there you have to go to the first floor and then use a stair to go down (weird, isn't it?) and it had only a very small bed, the bathroom is also on ground floor. I asked to have a proper big bed downstairs too and the next day they promptly put there a king size mattress (on the floor) where I slept anyway very well. After a few days, as two single huts became available, as we requested they switched us in two of them and so, with each of us his own hut, we started enjoying much more our experience there. The location for me was perfect: away form the main road where all other bungalows, huts, restaurants, shops etc are, but still very close to the beach and in particular to the southern end of it where there are no bars or restaurants and it's very wild and beautiful. Power [and so internet] wasn't to stable, a lot of blackouts, but that's wasn't thier fault and anyway we were in the huts mainly only for sleeping; hot water is coming from a very small electric boiler so you got to use it wisely and not all at once, the ceiling fan in one of the two single huts was broken (anyway it wasn't needed so we didn't ask to fix it). Anyway, if you're a 'seasoned travaler' who slept everywhere around the world you can surely choose this place as your destination but, if you need all the comforts of a 'five stars resort', you better check other places: this one's not for you. The staff was very nice, I'd surely return there, I loved it.

I write reviews of hotels seldom, but it necessary to warn other tourists. We reserved a Garden View room through Agoda.com with advance payment in 1,5 months prior to date of arrival. When we arrived the owner told that all Garden View Rooms occupied. But we booked the room in advance! Owner just resold Garden View Rooms to other guests. And she tried to give us the room near dirty road with Public Toilet View!!! The room without windows! The rooms size 17 sq.m on Agoda.com, but Public Toilet View Room size is not feet 4 sq.m !!! The owner refused to return us the paid money for reservation. Don't repeat our mistakes, don't book the room in this hotel. There are better options of accommodation in the central part of the beach. We didn't stop in this room because we didn't want to spoil our New Year's holidays and we had few days in beautiful India. We walked on the beach and chose Agonda Palace Resort. For the same money it was much better resort with nice owners, really beautiful Garden View Rooms, Wi-Fi, hot water and AC. But it is another story and another review... Beach: in the southern part of the beach of Agonda there is 1 amazing place - rock formations. But the southern part of the beach is the dirtiest in Agonda as this place of picnics of local people and more garbage ashore. It is better to choose the central or northern part of the of Agonda for beach life. There is the main infrastructure located - best restaurants, bars, shops and banks. To all of this up to go 2 km. by foot from Agonda Heritage.

We booked this place online for 1 week and if we thought there was any chance of getting our money back would have left. When we arrived wifi was not available i.e had not even been connected. My husband has to work online so we explained and they eventually got it hooked up about 3 days later. The restaurant was not open, fan did not work in our room, there was no hot water, power outages that lasted all day on about 2-3 of the days we were there, which sometimes led to no water (needs pump to pull it up). It really was just one thing after another and for what we paid not acceptable really. We booked for 4 of us and they gave us the bigger hut, but the mattress would not fit down the stairs so we ended up all squashed into the upper room with nothing in the downstairs room. They liked to sit outside our hut at night and smoke and play on the computer till late - there are no solid walls so every sound and smell passes right into where we were sleeping. They must have realised this as they moved the computer, but should have known better from the start. It got awkward and we tried not to complain about every little thing as it felt that that was all we did, but we were really unhappy with our experience. The lady who runs it i think has great ideas, but has not yet made them a reality. I don't see why i should pay these prices for such basics as no power/fan/water/wifi etc. Really would not recommend this place to anyone and cannot understand how they have 4.5 stars by other users. I can say that the cleaners were lovely and did a good job.

This spot is out of the way, past the church and Saxony restaurant, and a bit back from the beac, but just a couple of minutes walk. The rooms are comfortable, though water and internet had a couple of hiccups, the staff is quick to respond and fix whatever isn't working. The best part is the friendly and personal service and great food on location. Whatever your needs, they will help you with a smile. Having breakfast on the front porch is recommended. Thankful for the lovely stay.

The location is great, 5 minutes walk from the beach, food is good and service usually great. We got 2 huts here as we were 3 people and although we paid the same price for both huts, one was considerably larger than the other, with a beautiful working shower, the other was small, shower was not working properly and because it was very close to the restaurant it was considerably louder. The service was mostly good until the day we left, the management asked to use our 1 scooter to get milk since theirs had broken down, which was no problem except it took them 45 minutes. We wanted to pay our bill using credit card because of the Indian currency situation and for some reason they waited until our one scooter came back to let us know we would have to drive quite some distance to pay with card. In total we spent more than an hour and a half waiting for this all to be sorted out meanwhile we had a 5 hour drive ahead of us. Barely an apology was uttered and half of our group waited in the dining room drinking overpriced beer because we were so anxious to go. It was not a pleasant experience.
