Cosy boutique hotel in the middle of North Goa
by soumyasingh on
This was my third trip to Goa, and I was looking for something which was in proximity to the buzz of Baga and Calangute but at the sametime a quiet and serene place. The moment you enter the gate of Andores, you leave behind the noise and step into another world altogether. I was awed by the architecture and design aesthetics of the resort. Mr. Abner at the receptionensured a quick and comfortable check-in for us. I have one qualm though, that the room was slightly smaller than most of the Goa hotels, however, the top quality pillows made up for the small room. I liked the concept of a pillow library and the option to select pillows according to your needs. There's a lesser-known beach barely3-5 minutes from the resort, we accidentallyfound it while jogging. It was clean and barely a couple of fishermen were there. Almost gave us a private beach experience. Due to Covid restrictions pools and spa was closed, however, it looked very promising and I can't wait to come back and enjoy all the facilities once the situation normalizes.

We came to stay here by chance after checking out of another hotel in Calangute that did not live up to its price and review. Abner on reception saved our holiday and couldnt do enough to make every effort to gets us in and make our stay for the 6 days absolutely unforgettable! Shrita on reception was also very helpful and cheery every time we had the pleasure to see her. You cant say this very often - this is rated as a Four Star hot but feels more like a Five Star hotel. The place is paradise and is a little piece of heaven tucked away from the busy main road through Calangute. The rooms are spacious, modern and divinely comfortable. We were met to breakfast by Francis (head chef) who is genuinely pleased to meet you and personally greet you evert day with open arms and a big smile. Yogi is fabulous, he runs the Italian restaurant on site called Diva, which you must try. Delicious modern dishes that are fresh and very reasonably priced. We loved our time here and will definitely be coming back. A big thank you to Edgar Alfonso for creating such a beautiful resort and it was a pleasure to meet you in person. We hope you are all safe and well in these difficult times and look forward to seeing you all again in the near future.

we stayed here for 2 nights , its what i regret , we should have at least added 2 more nights , as i was booked somewhere else in candolim , we had to shift , i would really say this place is a very nice Boutique hotel , well maintained and excellent staff . A special thanks to the Roshini and Vinay . also Pratin at the pool . we had an awesome stay . Rooms are spacious . the pool i think needs to be clean a bit more as lot of plants around it . Food at Cinamon restuarant was good . also the breafast was delicious . live dosa and Egg counter . Shrusti at the reception was helpful my little one enjoyed the pool and Lawn a lot . there was a minor problem the telephone in my room did not work the 2 day , so i had to get down to order . i had complained in the afternoon but no one came to check till 8 pm rest everything was great , we will return soon

We stayed at the Andores for 3 nights, but arrived only late on a Thursday night. We stepped out to get some food, everything is at least a cab ride away (thank god for goa miles!) and went to Ping's Bia hoi - which was nice. The hotel room was nice and clean and had a lovely view of the pool! The food in the italian restaurant Diva in the hotel was great - whether pizza by the pool or the ravioli & the tiramisu! Breakfast in the hotel was fine, basic eggs, etc. What was kind of annoying was that there was no late night room service; we found out that they don't serve it past 1030 pm which really leaves you with no options in the area and you have to go further to baga etc. The hotel has free wifi but it kept disconnecting which was kind of a pain. One day we walked to the beach and then to some shacks - pousada by the beach was great food. Also, Neomi's spa nearby at the le meridien was nice. Overall, pleasantly surprised with the hotel.
It is all about the people!

I must share my experience with Andores Resort And Spa as i rarely come across people with such amazing values ! We were traveling in Asia and booked 2 rooms with view for 5 nights at the resort after reading such wonderful things, unfortunately my wife started developing some flu symptoms and we had to come back to United sates to ensure that it is not the Coronavirus, the policy of the hotel was very strict but they were understanding and wished my wife safe recovery and refunded us the full amount. As a business owner i appreciated it so much, i know that they had to take the rooms out of the inventory due to our reservation, still they were kind enough to refund the whole thing and wish us good luck, i will be staying in this resort one day, the core values of this business are just amazing and i am certain that they will take great care of their guests as they took care of me and my family ! Thank you Andores Resort And Spa! god bless you all.

All rooms are excellent but try for an upstairs pool view.

The rooms are the same. There is a slight premium for a pool view.

I think the top floor would be quieter
