Caravela Apartments is very well located on the main road and is easily accessible too. We had booked & hired an apartment at a very practical practice and the accommodation is clean, well maintained, airy with a kitchen, dining hall and a swimming pool at the back. The staff and the incharge Ms Karen are very helpful and the scooter hire/car hire ATM, and convenience stores are in the same block on the ground floor. The Candolim beach is just about 5 minutes walk across the road and there are many eateries nearby.Would like to stay there again in future.

We are a family of four and this was our second visit to Goa since February last year. The trip was a little last minute so we had to rush around looking for the best deals for flights and stay. My husband and I zeroed in on The Caravela Apartments in Candolim after much deliberation. Carlos, the owner was very kind in arranging an airport pick up and after a 45-60 minute journey we were there. Karen, the manager for Caravela Apartments greeted with a broad smile and great music in the dining cum lobby area. The outer appearance of the apartment complex isnt much to talk about though I do admit, it got us worried at first, but when Karen and I finished the paperwork, Shumon, the ever smiling help led us to the apartment, my worry vanished. The apartment was well appointed and clean. The master bed was very comfortable as was the pull out bed in the sitting room. Towels and good quality toiletries were provided. A very simple yet sumptuous breakfast consisting of cereal, eggs made to our liking, coffee or juice and fresh fruits was prepared by Karen every morning and included in the cost of the stay. There is small sized pool available on the premises, which was clean and well maintained. Caravela is located on the main Candolim, Calangute road and is very near to a variety of great shopping and eating places, such as Fishermans Cove, Delfinos (supermarket) etc. In fact, there is mini super market and ATM just below the apartment. We would often stock up on Goan sausages and cold cuts and whip up a quick meal in the apartment kitchenette. Our kids favourite Candolim beach is just a 15 minute walk from the apartment. We had a wonderful stay at The Caravela Apartments and would love to return again very soon! Carlos, Karen and your team are doing a wonderful job in providing a clean, safe, comfortable and hospitable place to stay! Best wishes and God bless you!

The seven apartments are actually part of a larger residential block built around a central courtyard which houses a swimming pool and well kept gardens. The building is on a busy main road with all that that implies for rooms on the front, but the other side of the coin is that taxis and tuk-tuks are easy to flag down and there is a bus stop outside as well. The Caravela coffee shop, under the command of maitresse de cuisine Karen, is the focal point for people staying here and where breakfast is taken. Breakfast was tea or coffee, a fruit platter, eggs cooked to choice and toast, butter and preserves. More than enough to see you through the day. Karen kindly also gave us Indian breakfast on some occasions and the pea bhaga and real, fat, overstuffed crispy samosas are a great way to start the day! We were a couple in a first floor apartment which was huge! The terrace overlooked the pool and gardens and was big enough for a table and four chairs. The large lounge also had a sofa-bed but as we didn't argue, no use was made of it! There was a dining table and a wall-mounted TV and a UPS system which quickly kicked in countered the occasional power failure. An individual wi-fi supply to the apartment was reliable and strong and a great boon to us, as was the air con. The kitchen was equipped with a super-efficient fridge which got a lot of use, and a micro-wave and a hot plate which got no use as local food outlets were excellent and cheap. The bathroom was tiled throughout and had a very efficient shower. Our bedroom was equipped with a large comfy bed and an efficient air con unit which we were grateful for. The boys came in and cleaned the room each day and did it professionally and thoroughly. The public stairway was also kept spotlessly clean and the presence of a night security man was a comforting feature, The beach was a ten minute stroll down a fascinating lane and the same distance to the nightlife, although we tended to jump in a taxi or tuk tuk for about 200 rs when we set out at night, I really cannot believe what we got for our rupees at the Caravela. We were more than satisfied and will certainly return. Thanks to Karen, Babu and the boys. I have paid more and got less in many other places. Excellent value.

Hi there, just recently returned from our stay at Caravela. Stayed 14 nights from 21/Feb to 6th March. The staff couldn't do enough for you. You get a complimentary continental breakfast included and can also have a Full English breakfast at a small cost. The rooms were very nice, both the bedroom and the living room had ceiling fans as well as A/C. The outside patio was very large and had good outdoor furniture. There is also use of a very clean swimming pool, we had it to ourselves 90 % of our stay. Carlos the owner is a very nice guy, very accommodating. We would definitely stay there again next year, it is in a very good position just outside Candolin. Looking forward to staying there again next year. Regards Derek and Doreen Williams. 19 /03/2017.
