The kitchen serving Indian food shuts down at 10.30 pm which is very early. People have to go out and eat at night .

How haven't I reviewed this before?! Me and my boyfriend visited in November 2015 for 3 weeks as first timers to Indian wanting some sun, lovely food, gorgeous beaches and total relaxation and that it EXACTLY what we got!! Obviously the whole visa process is slightly stressful at first and entry into the country at the airport is time consuming but this isn't to be helped and should not ruin your holiday. On arrival to the hotel the first thing you notice is how friendly and helpful the staff are - straight away they cannot do enough for you. Check in took a small while but we put our all inclusive bands on and headed to the bar for some drinks whilst we waited for our room to be ready. The pool area is stunning. The pool is large, the scenery around it makes the lazy days more enjoyable. There are lots of beds and umbrellas and the heat in November was welcomed - very hot some days but mainly comfortable. Our little bungalow room was large, tidy and the air con was fantastic which is essential in the heat. It was set it beautiful and extremely well maintained gardens. The food in the main restaurant was perfect - lots of choices (always an English one if you are fussy and chips on request) - plenty of curries, veggie dishes, sides and lovely deserts. We ate like kings for 3 whole weeks and did not once get bored. We also tried the two specialist restaurants on site and loved them both - we visited the curry house twice it was that good. The beach was white sands and glorious warm waters. Yes there are stray dogs but they are harmless and we grew quite attached. The cattle on the beach was brilliant - such a strange site but it was typical India and perfect to witness first hand. We ate and drank in some of the shacks and had no issues with a bad tummy. They are dirt cheap and the fish couldn't be any fresher. We did our own trips with a taxi outside the hotel, much cheaper and you can tailor where you go. Washing and bathing the elephants is a must. I could go on about how good this hotel is but i think most reviews cover it - the people, the place, the food, the beaches, the weather - it has it all. We will 10000% return to Goa and hopefully very soon. Thanks

We visited this hotel in the month of November and we had a wonderful time. The staff was really friendly and the hotel is itself very well maintained. The hotel has a direct connection to a beach where there are shacks but when we visited the hotel the shacks were shut which was really very unfortunate for us. Talking about the rooms, they were really very pleasant and comfortable to stay in. I would recommend keeping the door closed during the late evenings as otherwise you might end up sleeping with a bunch of different insects which will creep into the room. The food was spectacular and the chefs provide food to order along with the buffet. The breakfast spread was also extensive and filling. There was something in it for everyone. The pool was well maintained and it was fun to sunbath next to it on the cozy deck chairs kept around the pool. There are some amazing restaurants around the hotel as well. The location of the hotel is amazing and it is a must stay in this part of Goa. Thank you.

A really great place. It has a very friendly feel, not impersonal like a lot of big hotels tend to be. Its right on the beach, good pool, great food, the rooms have been refurbished and seem more spacious. Have been here several times on work and holiday and look forward to going back there every time. It looks very good as the architecture is by the legendary architect, Charles Correa.
Good for a relaxing low key holiday.

Stayed here last 2 weeks in may on an all inclusive basis.First visit to India. Hotel - Grounds beautifull , Rooms had fridge, tv, air con but lacked wardrobe space. Pool had sun all day so warm and clean with enough beds while we were there. Pool snack bar alternative to buffett. Recommend fish and chips. Evening Buffett meals mainly Goan vegitarian .You get one pass for Mama Mia or Kurries / Kebabs resturant for each week of your stay. Apart from that it's buffett every night. Recomend the steak at Mama Mia . Service slow in Kurries / Kebab, but food tasty. The evening entertainment was low key, The African Acrobats were lively and got the crowd involved. It was a couple of minutes walk through the resort to the beach, and the resort had nothing on the beach. No drinks station, no food station, no sunbeds or parasols, So how is this resort advertised as on the beach ! Local beach shacks sold drinks, food, had sunbeds/parasols and even had free wifi.If you are a beach person, allow for this extra expense .(At the resort you had to pay for wifi.) There were a lot of stray dogs on the beach, friendly, but watch out for dog poo ! The sea was warm and sandy, a bit rough and churmed up this time of year, so not clear and not able to snorkle. Resort set in a village which was safe to walk about and explore the shops, bars and resturants. recomend a visit to the barbers in the village, 150 rupees (1.87). During our 2 weeks, there were a lot of conferences and private funtions which seem to take over the resort and it's staff. Felt it took away that holiday feel. Daytime activities were advertised, but we only saw cooking demos a couple of times, they were good. You can use the gym at the ajoining sister resort The Raddison. You need a visa for india, we did this online on the indian gov tourist site. Imigration on arrival took nearly 2 hours ! Highlight for us was watching a bollywood wedding celebration in the shared grounds of sister hotel. Amazing show! Congrats Sohail and Sakski.
Excellent hotel, with great location.f

We visited at New Year and the hotel was busy. Excellent grounds in this hotel with a good pool area and beach on your doorstep. The beach is populated just outside the hotel with some beach shacks etc which are good but the only fault we found with the hotel was that the hotel had no facilities on the beach itself. The room we had was great and kept very clean as were all areas of the hotel. In general we found the staff to be really helpful and friendly with the only negative issues we experienced with staff being from staff in the main reception area of the hotel, where a few of the staff were not as helpful or accommodating.

Rooms to the south side are quieter - but all in all, all the rooms are lovely and well equipped.
