The kitchen serving Indian food shuts down at 10.30 pm which is very early. People have to go out and eat at night .

  • Having a Wonderful stay .

    by Nishitpatel179 on July 19, 2017

This is the best hotel to experience goan hospitality and monsoon. Its has a wonderful reception and courteous staff on the reception. Our was a boutique room no 83 which opens up to landscaping garden with coconut trees and a glimpse of arabian sea from the sitting area in the front. It has decent menu for breakfast buffet. The room are well done with everything of what they have to offer. The bathroom is spacious with a wardrobe in it and separate shower cubicle. The mattress on the other hand is little hard but comfy enough once you get used to it. The private beach is clean, but they lack sun bed( maybe due to the reason the sea is rough in monsoon), they should have chairs with the watchman if guests want to sit by the beach during this time of the season when its not raining. The only thing i dint like about the management and the resort is when i called for a cart to take me to the reception it dint show up for 45 minutes, calling them for more than 2 times, and i had to walk down while it was raining heavily and i was soaking wet by the time i got to the reception. In room dining has good menu and good food experience. The other thing which bothered me was the hot water. Hot water runs for a good 3-4 minutes and than even after turning the hot water tap to full hot, the water was not hot( maybe they a small greaser for the old rooms). On the other hand i stayed one night at the newly renovated room no 143 and it has hot water running for sufficient amount of time. The newly renovated rooms are also bery good with same mattress problem and the air conditioner there goes down till 15 degrees compared to the old rooms where its lowest point is 20 degrees. Sometimes its hot for me even in this time of the year when the temperature out is already 22 degrees. I choose the room even though i knew that the air conditioner would be not that low or chilling because of the impeccable view this boutique room has to offer. The resort is quiet all day and we can listen the sea roaring while sitting outside in our private porch facing the sea and the landscaping garden. I guess they should have put up a little more roof in the porch so the guests can enjoy the beautiful weather even while its raining, because it gets windy and you cannot sit outside but the whole point for me is to enjoy the rains while not getting soaked in it while sitting in my porch. Conclusion : Apart from two problems i have faced, I would highly recommend this beautiful resort in monsoon and winter but not in the summer because the old rooms might get a little hotter with air conditioner temperature not going below 20 degrees. I still have 2 nights in this hotel and will put up a final/edit review again after i have checked out of this hotel.

  • Perfect stay!

    by ElenaRa2014 on July 13, 2017

We live in this hotel at the end of the June. It was perfect staying. No season, no tourists. We was along.) all staff try to help us, they was really very kind! By the way, chef cooked especially for us not spicy food) we try also- Kebab restaurants- it was very nice) Swimming pool was clean, food -good. No season is good time for relaxation and enjoying South Goa.

  • One of the best Beach Resort in Goa.

    by Joyful E on July 8, 2017

It was a family trip to Goa last September. We chose to stay in Dona Sylvia. It was the perfect choice, as we like some private time. The Cottage shaped rooms were huge & luxurious. The private beach was at a walking distance & that's what we loved about the place the most. They are well equipped with a lot of indoor activities for kids & a big swimming pool for kids & adults. The staff was friendly & the food was quite decent. Had a very nice time here!

  • Good place to relax

    by Samjo24 on July 7, 2017

The resort is about an hours drive from airport. Done tastefully by architect Charles Corea, the resort looks good. The welcome was warm. The room was excellent. Tea Coffee machine in room. The WiFi was not free though. The swimming pool was nice. The beech access is good. Being monsoon the sea was bit rough but beech is nice to take a long stroll. No crowds so you can relax. The food specially in room dining is expensive. The all day all inclusive package is relatively cheaper..possibly that was the idea why in room dining is expensive. So if you take package you have to walk up to the restaurant next to pool. Food was decent both vegetarian and non vegetarian options were available. Goa attractions are bit far. so you will need a taxi or private vehicle to cover goa. If you are looking for a hide out , being bored by city life, this is the place to seat back and relax
