Basically there are a lot of reviews here that tell you the same things over and over and over again as to how amazing and awesome this resort is. But it didn't strike the right chord with me. I will focus on what to expect here and what not to. So the resort is divided into two parts, one on each side of Agonda beach road. The one next to the beach features the restaurant and some cabanas overlooking the beach. The other part has the rest of the rooms. I had opted for a garden room but was upgraded to one of the upper rooms. The room was decent but did not have a TV. Nights can get pretty boring out here with absolutely nothing to do, so having a TV does help you kill the boredom which, alas, was not the case here. The absence of any sort of recreational facilities here doesn't help either. The resort has WiFi coverage but that too is pretty meek and most of the time, you cannot do anything much with it. If someone's on a holiday he doesn't need WiFi (he/she is on a holiday after all) but the problem here is that there are very few mobile network providers and if you are not on one of them then your phone is pretty much useless unless you use WiFi to make calls but you can't since the speeds are very very low. Also, if you need something at night, there is no intercom provided to call someone to get you stuff, which is slightly strange. Toiletries are provided as usual and rooms are kept clean so no complaints there. The restaurant here is quite popular. Many proclaim this to be the best in Agonda but I cannot verify this since I did not try out any other restaurant. The food here is good. If you love sea food then there's plenty of options to try here. They don't have any special bonfires during the night and no music as well so if that's your thing then you might be disappointed. But if you want to eat in peace then the resort's restaurant is the best option. What I did not like here at all is that they do not provide any water for free and you have to buy bottled water even though you don't like mineral water. Go figure! All in all, if you love beaches (and Agonda beach is a marvelous beach) and like to stay at a rustic resort then Dunhill won't disappoint you. As the title of this review so vehemently pronounces that there a few things lacking here (like TV and good WiFi coverage for example), I must also say that there might be a plausible reason to do so (to keep things calm and quiet). But personally I felt a need for these and so might some others too.

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Dunhill beach resort my daughter married at cola beach 15 mins from Agonda beach the Dunhill was great the rooms at the back lovely and the staff could not do enough for our party even the 67 guests for all the drinks party's meet partys etc . The food is amazing beast on Agonda and very good value myself sister and oldest son stayed in the beach cabanas which are basic but what a view I had a bit of a problem in cabana 2 beach front as it was infested with little mice small but very strong they managed to drag underwear clothes and my milk cartons for my early mor, Ning tea under the cupboards the staff did try to stop hem coming in but it was the mating season I got used to sleeping with one eye open in case they got on the bed they did not by the way the bed was super comply very comfy bed change every couple of days very clean and lovely staff Dunhill did give me a discount on this cabana but I would rather have my mice eaten clothe s back for the price if I returned I would book a more reasonably priced room in the hotel bit the sea on Agonda is very rough and some most days to much for me but the younger family members enjoyed the huge wave overall I would highly recommend Dunhill all the staff so kind and helpful and great shopping just outside I will go back but not to Caban 2 all other cabanas were mice free still at least it was not a rat haha or monkeys huge thankyou to all for giving all my family friend and relatives a truly wonderful stay

Awesome Service, delicious food, clean rooms and nice beach view from restaurant. Overall best hospitality. One of the best places in Agonda for stay and food. Couldn't get beach view cottage as we booked on 30th Dec for 31st night. Resort is across the street with nice view.

Just back from another great holiday at Dunhills. It was our 4th time there and it didnt disappoint. Most of the waiters were known to us and we were greeted by Kartik (the manager) and the boys almost like family. The food and the service was excellent. Our room was the same one we had last year and this was taken care of on a daily basis by Esprita and her team which we were delighted to see was exactly the same as last year. We noticed that every room was booked for the whole of February so that shows how popular this residence is. We certainly hope to return next year.

We stayed here for 6 nights and I think it was expensive for what what it is. We stayed in a room in the main building which was clean, but it needs updating. There was an unpleasant smell for the first few days, not sure what that was. We didnt have any hot water in the shower most mornings. The balcony area was pleasant to sit out in. The staff were very nice and helpful. We ate at the restaurant lunchtimes and the food was good and its nice overlooking the beach. My main gripe is the lack of sun beds and umberallas. All I wanted was to lie on the beach on a sunbed with an umberalla for shade. I think people get up in the middle of the night to bag one of the few sunbeds there.
