Price is quiet fine for the quality of the rooms. Nice, pleasant owner. Sea view. They have a restaurant attached. It is not a quiet place during the season. But you can watch/listen to live concerts from your balcony

Stayed at the a Ivon Guest House in Arambol for a week in March. Very basic room with fan and shower and toilet. For the price we paid this was good value. Water was always hot. We had a top floor room at back of hotel with a great view from the balcony. Only 5 minutes walk to the lovely Arambol beach. You can walk into the town along the beach or on the back roads. We had breakfast and ate at Ivon's restaurant in the evening several times and the meals were good and reasonably priced. Enjoyed our stay at Ivon's in Arambol and would visit again.

So, I stayed here twice, once in January with a friend, and once solo in March... January trip we stayed on the ground floor around the back (called the backside) - both our rooms were very dark, there was no hot water as promised, the beds were super uncomfortable (thin Indian style mattress), in my room alone the loo, fan and light switch broke during our stay ... on the plus side Martin fixed everything as soon as it was reported. The rooms were super basic, but we didnt need much more. We had to haggle for a decent room and taxi transfer rate, but reached an agreement and had a nice stay. The guesthouse is a few minutes walk to the quieter end of Arambol beach with lots of restaurants and a few small convenience shops, and 10-15 minute walk down the beach or back roads to the centre of town. Lots of nice places to eat, especially Ivons restaurant and Magnolia. The solo stay was great - I wanted to come back to chill in a place I felt safe travelling alone. I was doing a course at the Himalayan Iyengar Centre and wanted to be close by - this is a 7 minute stroll away. This time I stayed on the top floor backside, much brighter room with sea view (and sunset) from the balcony, much thicker western style mattress leading to great nights sleep, and hot water every day. Word of caution, the stairs to the 2nd floor are not for the faint hearted or those suffering with vertigo - mixture of cement and wrought iron on different levels, but after a couple of days you get used to it. WiFi didnt work brilliantly on the 2nd floor but was fine on the ground floor. Unfortunately my trip got cut short but Martin and Louisa were helpful with local advice and arranging transfers to the airport. All in all no frills, clean accommodation in a good spot if you like peace and quiet. Would return again

He tried to scum us for more money for the booking we had; we had booked 2 Deluxe double rooms and we were given single definitely NOT Deluxe rooms; a lot of things broken in the rooms and we were blamed for these when we asked for the repairs; very uncomfortable mattresses and pillows. We loved Arambol but I would never stay there again.

I love Ivon Guest House, perfect place to stay in Arambol. Lovely family run guest house, Martin and Louisa are so helpful and friendly as well as everyone else. You can walk along the beach or back roads to central Arambol in around 8 minutes - i liked this as i wasn't on top of everything. Rooms are basic but have all you need, rooms have double bed, wardrobe, fan, attached bathroom with a lovely HOT shower and balcony - some look out to the sea. I booked for 5 nights but i felt so at home and decided to stay in Arambol longer that i ended up staying for 15 nights and i'm now going back hopefully next week. There is a great restaurant downstairs too which serves very tasty food. I was a solo traveller and felt very safe and at home. Can't wait to come back and would recommended to stay here.
