In a full fortnight in North Goa, moving every 2, 3 or 4 nights, Palm Grove Beach Resort was my best 2 nights, with silence , which a precious item in Goa. Everything was perfect : the room, the bathroom, the breakfast, drinks and dinners, the surrounding. People working there are really nice, very helpful. The perfect place to be.

I was there for NYE 2019, the place is amazingly green and though the rooms don't offer ocean view but its right on the beach. The beach is not crowded at all and quite clean. The Accommodation staff are good and helpful. Each cottage has a sit-out, which is very nice. Since its eco-friendly resort, so everything provided is basic but they have everything you need. There are enough sun loungers on the beach attached to the resort. The only part of stay which was not upto the mark was the restaurant. The breakfast had limited option, the food was bad and restaurant staff are rude/ blunt on your face/ not courteous at all. So try dining out and buy liquor from the local market, which would be comparatively cheaper. I bought a bottle of white wine from a local store and needed a cork opener, which I knew would be available at the restaurant as they are serving wine to the guests. When I approached a staff at the restaurant for the cork opener, he readily denied having one at the restaurant stating they have wine bottles with cap only. I had to then approach the hotel reception for help and the guy then spoke to the cashier at the restaurant who pulled out the cork opener from the drawer which was right front of him. Mind that the Restaurant and Accommodation have different management, hence the payment needs to be done separately. There is no card machine at the Resort reception but restaurant has one for their payments. The stay was enjoyable and relaxing. Love the rooms, beach and sun.

+ves: Rooms, location, cleanliness, Yoga Shala, Beach. All were as good or better than the pictures on the website. Sunset by the beach is beautiful, seating outside the rooms for a spending the evening and having a drink is perfect; the beach is less crowded than usual Goa beach and clean. The Yoga Shala is fantastic with perfect setting, perfect layout and a great place to practice yoga any time of the day. What could be better: Restaurant: The Food was average, nothing to rave about however not a disappointment. We had 1 meal at the restaurant and thereafter our rest of the meals were at the other restaurants at the Ashvem beach. This has been a +ve in a way as we ended up trying different restaurants around the hotel and hence ended up exploring new places. On the day, we had the dinner at the restaurant, we tried 3 dishes and all were average: Calamari had a thick batter on it, the grilled fish has tab bit of red chilli on it ! and finally the lava cake was overheated with the lava all over the plate. This is still fine as we weren't expecting top tier food from the kitchen. What was a bit annoying was on the last day of our departure, we ordered an avocado salad with prawns and squids. the dish arrived with no avocado and an argumentative attendant ! Summary: I will probably still come again for the setting, location and overall experience. Will skip the lunches and dinners; instead hop over the restaurants near by.

We had a beach hut directly on the beach with lovely amazing views of greenery, flowers and the beach. The huts are basic but have everything you need. The beds are comfortable and the staff are extremely helpful. Mahesh ordered taxis for us and gave us local information. Excellent location directly on Ashwem beach and just a short walk along the beach to Morjim. There are lots of places to eat and drink nearby or just to relax on the beach or on the verandah of the beach hut. Yoga classes are available every morning and the I enjoyed the lovely smell of incense in the mornings and evenings.

This is a small paradise close to the beach. The rooms are very cosy and with a/c atleast on the new side. There is a restaurant with great food and supernice staff. The surroundings are nice and calm. If you are looking for something peaceful close to beach, this is it. I highly recommend this place. Thank you Eva and staff for lovely stay during Maria Booxs retreat <3
