I had high expectations about this place based on majority good reviews but in my opinion its a lot overrated. The place is pretty average considering the amount you pay for. Also they have different types of stays available, in particular the AC room on the building part which is shown off as part of Lotus Sutra, but when you get there the person who was supposed to be in the reception was nowhere to be found. Had to look for him for a while and when he showed up he was complaining that we couldn't wait for sometime ( we almost had to wait for 30 mins). They already have a late checkin at 2pm and we had reached around 2:30 but were only able to get in the room by 3:10. The room itself is a bit on the rough side and comes nowhere near the price they charge for it. Besides this even the service is non existent. On top off that, when we were about to checkout the receptionist made a big fuss about the payment. I had booked the stay 3 months in advance and all payment formalities were done at the time of booking. Still he made me wait for an hour or so and made me go to a separate desk to confirm that my payment was complete. Such kind of hassle was completely uncalled for. I only hope that people take a closer look at the poor reviews for the place and look somewhere else. This place is definitely not worth it. And a word of advice to the staff, try to be a bit more courteous and please know and understand your job. If you are in the reception you are supposed to be available and you need to understand how to verify the bookings and not hassle the customer as an excuse for your incompetence.

On the last four days of my break i checked in to the Lotus Sutra as a friend had recommended it. I stayed in new block and not in cabins, tho the new block is still being fitted out they are renting the rooms, the rooms are set out like any hotel room, walk in wet room to right and large bed room with a patio door, loved the huge bed and the shower was fantastic, tv and coffee/tea making in room. the company has spent a lot of money building this extra block its a shame that the quality of finished work is a little shoddy. if they can get this right then they will be selling 5* rooms. A couple of the staff need to go on hospitality training to upgrade with the quality of the hotel.

Lotus Sutra is the best hotel you can get in Arambol. It bang on the beach and with clean and neat rooms with all the basic amenities. The cottages are a little cramped but it's value for money as the view from sea view cottages is beautiful. The property is well maintained and the staff is very courteous and helpful. Arambol beach is hardly few steps from the cottages. Would recommend sea facing cottages as they have a beautiful view and are mire spacious. Would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here next rime iam in Arambol.

Just returned last night from a short vacation in Goa. We chose Arambol this year, and boy are we glad we chose Lotus Sutra. Amazing Location: Hotel is located bang on the beach. Since it is a small property you can walk from parking to the beach in 1-2mins. They have a parking for 2-4 wheers with security. Everything from wine shops to departmental stores are available right on the main road. just a few mins walk from the hotel. On the beach too, there are shacks just outside the property. they have live music and amazing sea food fare. Very economical. Amazing Hospitality: Vivek, Sayyad, Abhishek and team are the best. We arrived at 10am for a 2pm checkin and was given a cottage in less than an hour, we waited at their sea facing shack and sipped on beers while our room got ready. Bell boy for luggage, quick HK on call and room service from a shack on their premises. All was managed well with smiling faces at all times of the day and night. Amazing Property: The best part about this place are the well planned and well manicured walks, public seating areas, greenery and flowers all around. Cottages are closely placed but are sufficiently private. My favourite place was an shaded seating area just behind the reception. It has the best sea view, Sat there all night sipping on Vodka and Red bulls and time just flew by. No one disturbs you. It's just you and the sea. Special mention to the team at Zen Oasis: Though it is not directly managed by the hotel, the hospitality is in sync with the hotel. Kashish and Rohan, the two stewards who serve with a smile. Gulped down Gin and tonics all day here. Good food and great service. Cons: 1. Lane to enter the hotel is very very narrow. If you are driving down or renting locally, make sure its a hatchback, avoid big cars. 2. There were mosquitoes, this property is near the sea and surrounded by greenery. They were not much of a nuisance. Just carry odomos or something like that. Everything else is perfect. Overall this was one of the best times we spent in Goa. Will definitely come back for more.

I stayed there for 14 days and I would say considering the location, pricing, infrastructure and cottages its the best hotel to stay in Arambol. Its right on the beach and wooden cottages are very clean, well maintained and beautiful. The cottage pretty much has everything, a comfortable double bed with good quality linen, hot water, tea coffee makers, extra blankets, AC, a flat screen TV with my favourite channel Romedy now ha-ha I really loved that. Its just 1 minute walk away from beach and 2 - 3 minutes walk to the main street of Arambol market. Yes! It is! The hotel has its own lovely Shack over looking the sea and which makes it a perfect place go chill after a swim. Music is nice here. Despite of being right on the beach, the property is safe and secured my cottage was beach facing and it was always awesome to wake up hearing the sound of sea shores. One most beautiful thing I noticed about this property is that they have lots of flowery plants, infact only flowery plants all others hotels have greenery and gardens but this place specifically focuses on having colorful plants I guess, I loved to take a stroll around the property every morning just for this. It felt like Im in a beautiful paradise of flowers and butterflies.. yes so many butterflies of different kinds. The property is spacious thus provide you enough space and outdoor areas to relax and breath in fresh air. There are also so many lovely cats who are human friendly. Those who like to meditate its the heaven for you at Arambol, lots of good thoughts on the walls, peaceful atmosphere, buddha statues to motivate you, flowers, natural beauty, simplicity and sea shores. Now coming to basic information: Cars cannot reach here, its located on a very narrow lane, so do not carry too much luggage. If you have a car Im wondering where are you going to park there is no such facility even on the main street unless you are ok to park it one mile away ha-ha. Dont expect high-end luxury, in room dining, too many options for dining and service from staff because I still believe whatever facilities they are giving are basic yet great and decent for the location and pricing. There is obviously no place better than this at Arambol beach even if we keep prices aside. So I managed with other things myself. For dining there are other exciting options on the beach so I didnt have to worry much. Property is on walking distance to Arambol Circle, sweet water lake, the banyan tree and Oshianic cafe.
