Had a not great experience at the shack. Rude waiter, put his finger in our food to figure out what kind of dish it would be and when we didn't leave a tip he yelled out, "you don't give me a tip!?" so defo not coming back here.

A beach hut set slightly off Arambol's gorgeous beach is the perfect location for a Goan vaycay. Budget, clean, rustic with friendly management this place was hassle free and easy to stay in for four days. The kitchen may have not been the most hygienic looking but it produced tasty food and was served with a smile (and some heavy trance which can be turned off if you ask). The people there were always happy to help and their laundry service was quick, cheap and smelled delicious. I do not know what more I could expect of a beach hut, but having a bathroom with functional shower and toilet, having a veranda which could be used for drying clothes and having a resident lizard in the room seems like a darned good deal for the price. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone who wants good, cheap and great location accommodation.

I assume Pacha Cottages are the beach huts that belong to Cafe Pacha that is situated on Arambol beach but there are no photos. The huts are made of bamboo like most others along the beach. I stayed one night in a hut the furthest away from the cafe on the beach. It was so depressing especially the toilet and shower/sink area which wasnt working for hours. There was no mosquito net on the bed. I have stayed in many beach huts and basic accommodation in Asia but this was rock bottom and it wasn't cheap towards what I have paid in other parts of Asia. My main concern was security as there wasn't any and the lock on the door was held on with a very tiny nail that a child could pull off. My hut was also next to a dark open space and with some strange people that hang around Arambol and having quiet a lot of expensive things in my bag, I couldn't really relax and kept coming back to check the hut. I am not one of these people that moan all the time about accommodation as I am an experienced traveller as you can see by my other posts. The funny thing is when I did fall asleep I had one of the best nights sleep in a while.
