A perfect 10
by paulien27 on
A beautiful secluded enclave close to busy Calangute. An absolute gem. Heritage feel what with the furniture, the veranda's, etc. It gives an oldy worldy atmosphere with mod cons also available. All ameneties are there. Excellent kitchen both Indian and western. Lovely well kept grounds. Room/cottage spot on. Clean and everything works! Such a leisurely pace. Sublime hospitality, anticipation in advance so one feels even more appreciated and that's what holiday is all about. A shuttle to various beaches/destinations available - some free of charge. Best massage ever. One of India's forte is hospitality, but here it is subtle and no pressure. Mr. Edouard Speck's 50 years experience in hotellerie together with the team makes me wish I had discovered it many years earlier. Lived in India, returned several times also to Goa. I will definitely come back.
Friendly helpful and very comfortable.

I have just returned from this gem of a place in a quiet village of Nagoa - not far from the exciting hustle and bustle of Calangute and Baga beaches and a 10 minute drive from Mapsa. Its a very peaceful quiet location with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff - which made all the difference. The breakfasts were lovely and there was lots of variety. The food was excellent too. My air conditioned room was clean, furnished to a high standard with a safe fridge and hairdryer. The room was designed with old fashioned antique goa furniture - including a four poster bed! I felt I had the benefits of staying in a lovely and comfortable hotel in Goa as well as having the opportunity to get to meet people in the village and have a feel for the true life in Goa. A wonderful stay. Judas Cynthia and Jacqueline - you are wonderful hosts. Thank you
The Quiet Location, Manicured Garden, Spotless Pool and Excellent Cuisine

A truly lovely place to base your Goa trip at. The owners and staff are all hands-on and attentive. That pool is immaculately clean and the garden setting rounds that off. I enjoyed the food and good menu selections while the bar service was adequate. Goa is a bustling state [as is all of India] but here you can just get away from that busyness when needed and just relax. Only 3 km's to Calingute Beach [a sunset beach experience is a must anywhere in Goa!] - My wife Tessa and I will be returning, and with great exchange rates if you are travelling with Pounds, Euro's or Dollars, you will find Presa di Goa and indeed all of Goa great value. Our guided tours were very good with very well-informed guides.

If you are looking for some quiet and a serene stay away from crowds this is an ideal place .it has an old world charm with beautifully hand painted tiles.room dahlia has the best view of the pool and the garden .it is surrounded by coconut trees.it is like having a pool to yourself..a special mention to Mr Edwards warm hospitality.would surely come back here.hospitality was at its best anything you ask for they were right their to help us.and one of the most attractive part of this property is it has a Heritage site inside it if you want to spend a day experiencing vintage feels the best villa to opt for is orchid.and a one more perk of this place it's almost 12 to 20 mins away from baga, Calangute , Candolim and Anjuna . Leave the hustle of cities and come and relax here Rajesh ,sindhiya and Sohail provided exceptional hospitality
Friendly relaxed stay

We arrived in the middle of the night by a complimentary taxi from the airport arranged by the hotel. Our driver was excellent and we used him several times during our stay. We were welcomed to the hotel with the minimum of fuss, with registration taking place the next morning. A lovely peaceful breakfast on our balcony overlooking the hotel grounds made a perfect slow start! Our room was large (4 poster bed!) with plenty of storage space. Thoroughly cleaned every day. We were visiting cousins living nearby, so only ate one evening meal at the hotel. The menu choice was wide and the food good. The service throughout was friendly and efficient. Perhaps the best part was after I left I discovered I had left something valuable in the room. Cynthia responded quickly to my emailed query confirming they did indeed have my item. They were very thorough, sending me a photo so I could confirm it was mine, before requesting my permission to hand it over to my cousin. The situation of the hotel was perfect giving us a peaceful base to explore the local village and surrounding area. I note someone mentioned dogs barking at night - yes they did, but that along with sounds from the local temple, were noises of the area, nothing to do with the hotel and did not spoil our stay. I would be happy to recommend this hotel, and would certainly stay there again. Thank you to all the team for looking after us.
I would choose for pool view, but if not available, in Goa one is Always outdoors
