I have just returned from 3 weeks in Goa, the first two spent near Anjuna and all the fun and excitement the beaches around there bring, but reaching Agonda Beach and staying at the Shanti Village was the best experience for me. Agonda is a superb beach and the village itself, a long road with lots of shops and places to eat. Shanti Village is situated just a short 1 minute walk back from the beach and in such a lovely quiet location. The shack I had was excellent and by far the best I had experienced during my vacation. The room was large and tastefully decorated with a separate dressing room, and well fitted out shower and WC. There was a veranda outside with comfortable table and chairs, plus a very comfortable couch where you can lay to read out of the midday sun. The garden restaurant area is very good with a good bar area. Perhaps the most impressive part of Shanti Village is the owner Bobby and his team. Such lovely happy people. Bobby is very special! He does all he can to make your stay memorable, especially with his cooking. His food is really good quality and value, and I say that after having experienced quite a few eating places around. I didn't want to leave this place and will be returning for a much longer stay towards the end of the year.

The cottages are very nice and most importantly the location is marvellous and cottage and restaurant are located right in front of the beach. One will have great time staying in the resort. Food & service indeed is great. 5 Stars rating to this resort.

The place of course has its plus' of being beach side, a bar and a nice accommodation, but the plus side includes Bobby and his team who are fully involved and connected to the guests. We had the room with cold showers and the beach side room that the family had, was with a geyser. Not that hot water is in anyway a necessity, but it helps when you have a four year old with you. The internet was not always working, but then again it is the beach side and therefore the connectivity is not great. The only downside is that it does not parking so we had to park our car outside.

Having stayed here for just under a week I can't speak highly enough of Bobby, Shalu and the wonderful staff. I had become unwell on my trip and the amazing people here really helped look after me. Even took me to a doctor. Their hospitality is second to none. The staff so friendly and fun. We met people who had been visiting this particular spot for years. The food is lovely and sits right on the beautiful beach. Sadly I spent most of my time in my chalet but can vouch for the comfort of it. Safe for travel with children, good spot to relax, learn yoga or arrange day trips. Something for everyone. Would return in a heart beat.
