Sonho Do Mar Huts is situated very close to the Agonda Beach in Goa. It is a lovely place for a weekend getaway. The hotel comprises modern features and also offers basic amenities for the guest comfort. The staff at the front desk elucidates the queries of customers well.
Luggage storage services ensure safety of precious items. Room service is operational for limited number of hours and the property also offers in-house laundry facility. The resort has five cottages which are spacious and well furnished and have the facility of hot and cold running water.
Hotel also provides wake up call facility on guests request. The cottage is around the corner from the beach and is great for a romantic evening walk. It also promises to be a wonderful experience to all the patrons living close to the shore.

The resort is right on the beach, like many others and it offers eco-friendly huts and rooms. The huts are some 30 mtrs from the sea and you literally wake up and sleep to the sound of the sea waves. We stayed in a hut named Pavana. The huts are very basic but there's enough room for 2 people. The thing I loved the most about this property was the shaded, restaurant lounge area which provides an unobstructed view of the sea. I could sit there for hours with a book in hand. Special mention to the staff, Dinesh and Rajesh, who were very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, though pricier as compared to other available options. Try the Chilli Fry Calamari and the basic yet refreshing Lemon Mint Cooler here! Now, the downside. The "sea facing" huts open to the garden area and there's only one hut that directly faces the sea. The bathroom of the huts need maintenance, the drainage wasn't alright. Also, it gets a bit uncomfortable during March and April when temperature is high and there's lack of ventilation or a proper speedy fan in the huts. Overall, it was a good experience!

After a picture perfect week at Colomb Beach between Patnem and Palolem where my accommodation was also perfect, I was a bit disappointed to check-in at Sonho do Mar. ok, the "Sea Dream" is exactly 1,000 rupees (12) cheaper per night but little things could make this place much better: The "sea view room" was my first disappointment. As you can see on the picture, the sea view room are in that blue building and you basically get a glimpse of the sea that is 100 meters in front of you through the trees and the restaurant. I took pictures from two different angles. My view was more about the scooters and cars parked next to my room (see picture). I could hear every scooter and car come in and out at night and in the morning as my room was in the driveway. And if it wasn't enough, there was a line to dry your towels and things right in front of the room between two palm trees. And here goes the little view of the sea...! The room is...small, no decoration whatsoever, tiny bathroom with no window to air it out and therefore it smells musty and mildew is building up, no soap dish in the bathroom, the toilet brush looks like it lived a long life of scrubbing (to say it in a polite way), the shower head is a misery (look at the picture), no mirror in the room, (I had to use the one outside where there is the toilet for the restaurant), and there is only 1 coat hanger. It's "partially" clean but the mosquito net around the bed is full of dust on the top (see picture) and the bathroom is full of tiny spiders and dead moths. There are two rugs on the floor in the bedroom. I don't want to know when they got cleaned the last time. There is a window with frosted glass in the room, no mosquito screen, so you basically feel like being in a prison cell. Honestly, I chose this place because of the good reviews on TripAdvisor and because the owner is German but I expected a little more from her being German.

Wasn't expecting to have such a good time, due to how cheap this place is. But we had the BEST time!! We arrived in the AM, the taxi picked us up and it took an hour and a half to get to the location, it cost 1,800 to get their. We walked through the gates at Sonho do mar and left relaxed straight away, we was greeted by a lovely man, who took our suit cases and showed us to the bar. Beach hut's- We was shown to our beach hut and given the key, we settled in straight away. The huts were very basic and simple but that's all we needed! Beds were comfier then i expected, we were provided a blanket and a sheet but didn't use either. Bathroom was simple again, had to ask to use the hot water but didn't feel we needed it after being out in the sun all day. We thought the huts were perfect and very safe! We was provided with fresh towels when asked too. If you are expecting air-con this isn't the place for you, their is a big fan on the ceiling. Food & Drink- We ate here everyday for breakfast, food was lovely and fresh. We added and changed some bits on the English breakfast ans they were fine about it. We also ate lunch and dinner here a few nights too, food was brilliant and yummy! Drinks were so cheap, they had a lot of different things to offer! Beach- Sonho do mar is right on their beach, you go to sleep with the sound of the waves and you wake up with it too! Beach is so clean and beautiful too! Their is a few sunbeds outside the complex too. Staff- The staff here work so hard and are so lovely! We have been to may 5* hotels over the world and have never had the service we received here! Thankyou so much to Rajesh, Pawan & Dinesh, they were fantastic and made our stay so special!! I celebrated my birthday here, they arranged a birthday cake and were so kind giving me a gift. I can honestly say, they made our stay so special. So sad to be home, but we will be returning and staying at Sonho do mar. Highly highly recommend coming to this place!! Here is a few places we liked eating at near Sonho do mar: - Bay Agonda -Greenland -Manveer's
