Every night, when coming back to Villa Turiya after an entire day spent on one of the beautiful beaches that surround Canacona, my wife and I used to say to each other: "how lucky we have been to find such a place!" That is particularly impressive if you consider that our original idea was to live our seven-day vacation 'pied dans l'eau', right on the beach. Instead, those few minutes on a tuk-tuk, back to Villa Turiya at the sunset, marked for us the beginning of a new pleasure, made of beauty and comfort, of quiet and cosiness. We have spent seven fantastic days, pampered at all time by the attentive and smiling staff of Villa Turiya. They seemed all to be gifted with a special super-power that made them appear, all of a sudden, at the precise moment that we needed them. The breakfasts that they used to prepare every morning, where actually gorgeous brunches that at each time surprised us with great taste and abundance. Sandesh Prabhu has put in Villa Turiya all his talent as an architect -specifically with his attention to details and passion in preserving the original character of a Goan villa- and all his qualities as a host. We had great time indeed during this experience, and we look forward to repeating it one day soon in the future.

True to the meaning of its name, Turiya Villa is the place where you would experience the state of liberation and bliss. It has been two days since we are back from Turiya, in South Goa, and we still miss the place. The whole of Villa is beautifully, designed by the owner Mr. Sandesh Prabhu (Sandy), who happens to be an established architect, in Mumbai. The location is perfect as well, as the best of beaches are within a minimum of 10 mins and maximum of 45 mins from the villa. Infact the most renowned beach Palolem is 10 mins from the villa. The Rooms are traditional, yet bright and beautiful, with a touch of modernity. Healthy, fresh and tasty breakfast is served in-house, while lunch and dinner can be ordered from outside, self prepared in their in-house kitchen, which again is beautiful or you may have it outside (which is what you would anyways do in GOA ryt! - laze out in beach shacks with beer and Goan food). With Sandy around, the best time would be the morning breakfast conversations with him and other guest. Plus, blindly trust his recommended places to visit as they are truly best. His local knowledge is something you should leverage. If you are lucky, you may have some delicious food cooked by him as well, with home like hospitality, great conversations - and you may get your chilled beer here as well. With lots of books to read and attentive & caring staff, Turiya is the place to be. Overall, with or without Sandy, Turiya is a must visit homestay. And know what?! it is not even that expensive. Being our first wedding anniversary, we feel this was the best place we selected and truly had a blissful four days in Turiya. Please do visit Turiya once to know what I mean, when I say beautiful and blissful..!

Earthy and soothing, the Pushya room was a wonderful haven of escape during our stay at Turiya. Careful attention has been paid to every aspect of the room, be it the comfortable and ornate king-sized bed, the beautifully-themed, naturally lit bathroom, the provision for natural ventilation to every little door and drawer knob. It is a harmonious balance of homely meets tasteful design aesthetics. The property has plenty of green combined with free, leisurely common spaces where you can slow time down and simply take the moment in. At Turiya, you are served a lovely breakfast every morning. Conveniently located just a bike ride away from beaches such as Patnem, Palaolem, Agonda and the dreamy Galgibag, you also have easy access to the Cancona market. The staff is warm, friendly and easy to communicate with. Our room was always kept spick and span and the overall cleanliness standards at the property are very good. Thank you Sandesh, Priyam, Sillu and everyone else for showing us a peaceful time during our stay. We hope to come back and spend more time at Turiya.

I was looking for a relaxing place where I could disconnect and Turiya offered just that! Lovely villa surrounded by greenery. The host is well traveled and connects well with you. The only drawback is that I never got to enjoy her cooking because she couldnt cook for me...you had to tell her in advance, which I had no idea about. One thing to note: theres no Spa there, despite the name of the place.

We booked 2 Rooms; Rohini & Bharani for a weekend on 1st & 2nd July-2017. The Rooms were tastefully decorated with Furniture presenting a distressed look however, not Old... The Double Bed in Bharani has a Footboard which restricts a person of 6 feet or more to sleep comfortably. The Double Bed in Rohini however, does not have the this problem. The Bathrooms are not en-suite and therefore, you have to walk through the Dining Room and onto the covered pathway leading onto the Back Entrance. This is rather inconvenient given that there is No Generator / Inverter at the Property and during Power Outages, could pose a serious challenge for the Guests. The Bathrooms are very tastefully done however, they could certainly improve upon the Towels provided...They were quite threadbare... The Cushions in the Verandah also looked faded and worn out and could do with some sprucing up... The Cottage has many gaps in the the roof and Mice / Rodents often find their way into the Kitchen and the Guest Rooms. The Place comes alive due to its Property Manager, Priyadarshini who is a delightful person and is always prepared to help and join you in a conversation. She produced a wonderful Dinner for us on the second night and also gave us sumptuous Breakfasts on both the days. But for her, I would have rated the experience as Average...
