We spent 4 nights in Vaayu, in newyear 2018. We stayed at wooden beach cabin, near the sea. The atmosphere was magical in Vaayu with positive energy of all the stuff, colorful arts, great music and ocean view. The room was spacious and joyful, however it was very noisy and not very clean. There was a restaurant next to our room, they were cooking and yelling all the night, also dust and noises from the street were all inside the room. The hot water was not working very well. So even we like the concept of the room, it was not comfortable. Prana cafe of the hotel was great, we had delicious breakfast and dinner there. We had 2 great parties during our stay. New year's eve was amaazing! I would definately stay in Vaayu if i visit Goa again, however i will choose different room.

Lovely setting but the rooms needed a good clean. Ours was really dusty and down the back of the beds were filthy. We rarely had water and it was never hot. We had to shower at a friends. The beach hut was nice but there is absolutely no soundproofing and it was very noisy. Almost every night people sat on the communal balcony playing music till 2am. The staff were helpful but didnt seem to have much local knowledge. The reception staff couldnt help us with anything and made no effort to find out. All in all, its overpriced for a basic beach hut. The food in Prana Cafe is amazing. Service a little slow, but its worth the wait.

I spent one week at Vaayu Waterman's Village in November/December 2017 with a friend. My friend stayed in one of the junior suites/palm huts, and I stayed in one of the ordinary rooms. My friend was very happy living in the palm hut with a sea view from the top floor. I was supposed to live on the mattresses on the lower floor, but being afraid of spiders and snakes (yes, I know I'm too hysteric...!), I opted to sleep in one of the ordinary rooms, which was really nice! The standard was much higher than we expected, and the atmosphere was extraordinarily nice. The staff were very welcoming and the rooms were cleaned every day. In the Prana Cafe, we got great breakfasts (you have to try out the smoothies!) and perfect Americanos. We strongly appreciated that Vaayu was so environmentally aware. They served purified water in glass carafes in the rooms in stead of plastic bottles. They even uses metal straws in the smoothies. And they were really great with the stray dogs. Shadow, one of the dogs living there, became my guard dog - he slept calmly in a chair outside my room every night. The staff were very kind to the animals (something we experienced most places in Ashwem).Vaayu is situated almost right on the beach. The beaches in Ashwem are cleaned every morning, and are amazing. There are several nice restaurant on the beach as well. There were few tourist when we were there. We visited all the neighbouring beaches: Morjim, Mandrem and Arambol, and also the Flea Market in Anjuna. It was easy and cheap to take a taxi to get around, and the staff at Vaayu were helpful ordering for us. I would definitely like to go back to stay here, and next time I will bring my family - and possibly try out surfing or SUP! <3

Superb experience staying here in Goa! The accommodation was basic but everything necessary was provided. The staff are exceptionally friendly from the hotel to recommended surfing instructors. The common area is one of the best I've ever relaxed in with artist's work lining the walls. Furthermore, the food was absolutely incredible. You'll never want to eat anywhere else! The huts are quite exposed to mosquitoes but I assume this is Goa in general. Nothing to really worry about!

After staying at Vaayu for a week, I did not want to leave. The simplistic beauty of the hotel is only matched by the beach on its doorstep. After surfing, paddle boarding and swimming with the vaayu gear we made friends with all the instructors and staff. The food was amazing and able to cater to people with vegan, gluten-free and allergy diets. Brilliant trip with beautifully decorated spaces. A wonderful, relaxing place to stay on the more laid-back side of Goa.
