Amazing hotel, wonderful and helpful staff and management. Although we booked last minute we got the best deal. The room was very spacious with heritage wooden furniture to make it royal feel. Amazing location and pribably the best restaurant in goa (verandah) special thanks to Thomas Dsouza for helping me with booking. must stay hotel in la fontainhas Goa quarter.

We highly recommend this hotel or any other panjin inn. The people there are very friendly and we get a free site seeing of fontainhas by mister thomas. Location is great and quiet rooms are very clean and decorated with old furniture. Our experience was so good we decided to stay longer. 5 stars Experience there you will not regret

I stayed here with my wife and infant son. The building itself is very beautiful and the rooms are nicely furnished and have nice stone floors. Worth to note is that the windows are not plain glass but a decorative one as there is not much to see on the outside as there is a busy road outside, we stayed on the third floor and didn't feel it was much of a problem as we sleep well regardless. What brings the score down is the rather sloppy service. There is no baby bed/crib available. The first day the room hadn't been cleaned so we asked for a tidy up, which was promised but never came. We wanted to order laundry and asked several times for a price, as baby clothes were not in the list. They promised to ask but instead sent for the clothes in the evening without a price so we declined. There is a good laundry shop down the street we learned. One last annoyance is that they charge for water at the included breakfast. Regards Erik

Friendly and charming. Great situation. Comfortable high bed. Food excellent though a little pricey. Breakfast tasty. Could do with a little modernisation though, please, not too much. More electricity sockets required for today's devices! Will stay again.

This family-run hotel In the heart of Fontainhas (the Latin Quarter) has retained its olde worlde charm over the years. The owner is invested in its day-to-day running, which perhaps makes a difference. The rooms, the antique (and well-maintained) furniture, the imaginative flooring, and the dining hall with its showcases of artefacts, all make for a delightful, laid-back experience, and when you check out they gift you small bottles of their own specially-brewed feni liqeuer. The hotel's proximity to the city centre makes it a convenient place to stay in, while a quiet ramble through the Latin Quarter can throw up amazing sights. Old-timer Rohini (Housekeeping) is dedicated to keeping your room clean and deserves a special mention. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a feel of Goa old and new, and who prefers tasteful comfort and cleanliness to the sterile, impersonal monotony of a 5-star chain. The Verandah (the in-house restaurant) is a good place to spend an afternoon or an evening, but the menu could do with an uplift and the staff perhaps trained to recommend what's actually fresh (some of them do, but some are apt to push you into ordering something which can be a let-down if you know your seafood!)
