Inspite of the fact that its quite an old property it is pretty well maintained. Rooms are clean and have a vintage touch. Rooms have a seperate sitting area. Located just near to baga beach. One can have n no of visits to the beach if you are here. They also have music over the weekends in the restaurant similar to other restsurants in goa. Breakfast has limited option but the food is very good and ful filling. There is no wifi available in the rooms of the resort. The resort is a small cute one, definitely one is going to like their stay over here. One disadvantage is they dont have a pool in the same property. A small pool is available in the property just opposite to this. The staffs are humble and helpful. Also helped in arranging self driven car for us. Overall we liked our stay in cavala.

If you're someone who loves to party on retro music & would like to experience a contemporary design old goan hotel then this 35 year old hotel will do justice & be perfect. The people serving you here are very very professional & helpful, right from some delicious food to recommendations on planning your day in Goa to helping book transport options. I would recommend cavala & banana republic to all for atleast a visit & stay once you're in Goa. Biggest plus point is the location to the shacks like Britto & St.Anthony at baga beach being walking distance. Big shout out to titus & Kevin who served us food at the restaurant from breakfast to dinenr. Benny who guided us to some new drinks at the bar and what to do in goa. Maria & Nilesh who were very accommodating at the reception and attending to all queries and offered prompt support.

We went there for a friends birthday celebration. With great food, quick service and live music the place was right on target. People dancing to the music in an outdoor and indoor environment kept the place jiving on.

I went there with my fiance last week and spent 5 days. Cavala is a nice hotel five minutes' walk from Baga beach and 15 minutes drive from Calangute. It has a passable restaurant. Rooms are strung out behind the reception along a narrow path with lots of shrubs and greenery. If you get a room on the first floor you even get a nice view of the open areas behind. The good things - nicely appointed rooms, clean. Prompt room service. Good bar. Efficient staff. The not so good - smell of sewage from outside (they empty their septic tank into the swamp outside), worn towels. My room had a power problem too but they were prompt to fix it. The hotel is on the main road to Baga so stays noisy through the night. The restaurant is good but could be better with more menu choices. I thought the prices were high having looked at other hotels in the vicinity. Between the two beaches, Calangute is more happening but is easily accessible from Baga.
