What's Good: Its not in Gokarna. Its some 45 KM from Gokarna Kudlu/OM beach towards Mangalore. However, its the decent place to stay with nice food and nice kind-of private beach. If you looking for serenity, isloated place to have time to urself this is nice, however, if you are looking for some beach activities or fun, this isn't recommended.

It's right by the beach. The beach wasn't at all crowded (must be because of the time when we visited, at the onset of monsoons and during weekdays). The property is full of plants, trees, it has two ponds: one has huge frogs and the other has huge fishes. It was nice to watch the fishes being fed. There's also a natural pool at the back which fills up in monsoon. We were lucky to be shown around the property on a personal tour by the owner. As for the rooms, it was basic. There was a bed covered with a mosquito net and a table on top of which we kept our bags. The bed needs a bit of dusting with your hands or maybe with a towel before getting on it. The quality of the mattress was surprisingly amazing! In the room, you walk on sand. There's no concreted or tiled flooring. Basically these rooms are temporary structures with no foundations. It's just thatched roofing and walls around as seen in the pictures. For those used to comfort, it can be a little disconcerting like for me. I personally couldn't stay for more than a night. The bathrooms are not attached to the rooms, but it was fairly clean because I guess we were the only ones there. We mostly ate at the restaurant because for a good distance there is nothing around. The food served was pretty decent. They also serve to the room but it's easier to eat in their restaurant. On a side note, the owners are honest about the rooms. They spoke of how sometimes guests are unnerved by rats running across the pillars of the roof (I'd be too) but according to him, it's natural for the rats to be there. (I am not quite sure about that.) I didn't fortunately come across any rats. But the property is really nice to explore for those interested in plants. And for a super budget stay! As for the beach, Nirvana beach was just beautiful. There are some rocks at the end that you can climb and you can see crabs resting. If you make too much noise, they will scurry away. It was just lovely to sit there and hear the waves crash on the rocks at sunset! The only downside is that it's far from Kumta (where you need to get off if you come by train) or Gokarna (by bus). We took a ferry from here to reach Gokarna. And that ferry ride was beautiful! There are no public transportation like an auto rickshaw just outside. It's about 15 mins walk to the bus station or to get an auto. And it's through fields. So if you have suitcases, that might be a problem. So its better to buy things that you will need from town before getting here. I don't remember seeing a proper shop around though there is a small one close to the property but it is meant for the needs of the locals more. Also for families, I'd suggest you take a bigger room. For that you'd have to call the hotel directly and enquire. It is made of concrete structure and has an attached bath if I remember right. An insect repellent will come super handy.

If you are looking for a Solo Trip this is the place. Not suitable for kids. Itz a Nature resort so expect things accordingly. I love beaches and traveling Goa for last 7 years but Nirvanas Beach is best si far.

Nirvana , yes its truly a nirvana . I came across this place after searching a lot for budget stays since I visited Gokarna for New Years , trust me this place has a lot to offer . I came here along with 9 friends of mine and we were given a 6 bed room and two private rooms for 4 . The bedrooms were elementary with clean washrooms . Do expect a little disturbances by frogs, spiders and lizards since this place totally promotes nature but they are harmless unless you take the initiative .Breakfast , lunch and dinner is also served here . The food is quite good but a little costly since this place is far from village and there are no eateries around 5-6 kms .The beach is just in front of the property and Its more beautiful than most of the beaches I have visited . We had a great time there and instead of going anywhere else to spend New Years Eve we stayed here and to surprise this was the best new year I had ever celebrated . I had couple of friends who were afraid of going into the water but to the rescue nirvana nature had life jackets kudos .There are 2 ways to reach nirvana nature . If you have your own vehicle ( car , jeep ) you have to travel almost 45 kms from Gokarna . Do not search nirvana nature on maps instead search Kumta village first , once you reach Kumta village then search nirvana nature and this will save your time , if you search nirvana nature from Gokarna as a starting point it will show you the path which has only ferry options and those ferries can only carry passengers with bike or luggage not cars . Be safe , dont Panic of you cant find the place , go through what I described and you will find your destination . Bon voyage !

Stayed here as part of a group arranged by Banjara and Gypsies for the Silent Disco party. Just the property is beautiful, calm, on the beach. More like a private beach. Not world class facilities. However , it's more like a getaway and not a luxury stay. One for the off roaders

If I had to just rate this property on the basis of it's location I would probably give it all the stars possible. What an amazing location! Right on the quaint, serene and secluded Nirvana beach, surrounded by a thick coconut grove, this place is perfect if you want to escape the otherwise crowded parts of Gokarna. The ride's a little rocky and rough for the last 200-300 meters but the view makes up for it. Now coming to the accommodation part, it's more like a backpackers' pad. So the huts are pretty basic and lack flooring (infact they are filled with beach sand). The common toilets are unclean (the secret like always is to use them early in the morning when they are at their cleanest best). Couldn't find any other nooks and hey you pay 1000 bucks only for a night, that's real value for money But the property is pretty unusual otherwise. I mean it's like inside a thicket and there plenty of trees all around you get the feel of actually living inside a grove. Yes they have hammocks and I was particularly intrigued by this macchan like rooms where it's all open and it's perfect if you are in a group. Don't expect much here because this is the kind of place that would give you a brilliant value for what you actually end up paying. The food is good, a tad slow coming, but they let you know well in advance so it's not really a surprise. But having said that remember it's in Niravana beach which is ahead of Kumta so that's quite a distance to you popular places like Om Beach etc. And if you intend on driving your car, they have a parking space available. Overall I'll say if you want a quaint vacation away from crowd, on a beach which for the most part of the day is all yours then this is the place to crash. I totally loved my experience here and would definitely recommend it.
