The room was very good (would have been "excellent" except for the very slippery bathroom floor and the poor condition of the guard rails!), with very comfortable and very clean beds. Hot water, really hot water, was plentiful and always available. The stone floor of the shower became very slippery so much so that I considered it to be dangerous! The room had a grand view of the pool in the center of the property, where we saw Langurs and birds come for drink of water ... it was very peaceful! The walk around to the rooms, raised high, was of concrete and quite sturdy, but the guard rails. which were just ropes tied between posts, were rotting and quite unsafe, particularly traveling with children. The walk is high enough, that any fall could prove fatal! The service was just fantastic! Young boys, all in their early 20s', were ever present and alway with a smile! Nothing was impossible ... and they tried their very best to serve and make you happy!! They even arranged a candle lit dinner for the two of us, in their (back) garden! The cook was very good, and though the food was basic, both vegetarian and non., were very tasty and 'fresh'. Enjoyed their food very much, and I dare say was better than several 4.5 and 5 star hotels, we stayed on this trip. We were, in short, just blown away by their wonderful hospitality and the smiling faces. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!

Amazing place, Super duper awesome food, Great hospitality, Very peaceful and soothing environment. The rooms have a great view from all the 3 sides. Most amazing is the bathroom...What a View! The overall experience is really great, no matter u see wild animals or not. Still u have Kingfisher and chirping birds along with lots of monkeys to give you company. I visited it recently in the month of Jan,2018, it was pretty cold but they have bonfires in the night. It is slightly expensive but worth to visit at least once. And you will again come here for the food,I bet you!

My second visit after almost a year. Last year, It was still being upgraded in terms of service standards etc. The property is really comfortable now. The location of the property, nestled in a valley with wooded hills surrounding it and a small water body in the middle which attracts a lot of birds is really a serene place to be. with trained staff and housekeeping, one can tell the general standards have really improved. The food is really nice, its mostly Indian fare, but with advance notice they are able to cater to International tastes too. At this price point, the service, food and their comfortable modified safari vehicle were a pleasant surprise. The Forest is an undulating landscape, and rather dense in places. One does not have many tiger sightings, but I have done two safaris, and saw a leopard on each. The animal density is not very high, although you do see the common animals like Langur, spotted deer, Blue bull, Sambar on a regular basis. I hear that excellent sightings of Sloth bear and wild dogs are common, though I did not see them on my 2 drives. To sum up, its a beautiful forest, still not touristy, which makes it lovely. The property is adequate, comfortable, safe, peaceful and most importantly professional.

Being avid wildlife lovers, we wanted to make the most of an extended weekend by visiting one of Maharashtra's lesser known wildlife sanctuaries - Nagzira. Chose Asteya Resorts to spend a couple of nights and boy were we pleased! The resort is located at the periphery of the Nagzira WLS and is surrounded by rugged forests. With a small waterhole inside, you experience the feel of living inside a jungle - the place can be extremely calming. Its approximately 140 kms from Nagpur - around 3 and half hours drive including short breaks. The Pitezhari gate of Nagzira WLS is close by and Asteya Resorts help you with the safari bookings, the gypsies pick you up from the resort. Rooms are spacious with a deck and bathtub overlooking the wilderness. The hospitality and service of the staff is top class. Always with a smile on their faces, they took great care of us. Food was homely and tasty. We did a few jungle safaris and spotted a Leopard, a pack of Wild Dogs, Nilgai, Chital, Sambhar, Gaur, Langur and a variety of birds. Lots of birds within the resort too! All in all, five stars!

Location of the property is fantastic. The new management have upgraded bathroom facilities and cleanliness standards. The staff are trained, with access to at least one English speaking person for International/non Hindi speaking guests. The food and service also are far better. The best though for me, is the creation of a comfortable charming guest areas which were absent before. I understand this is still a work in progress, but already a pleasant surprise for first time visitors at this tariff point.
