It has a sense of royalty. It's environment is perfect parties and the halls are great backed by great catering. The delicacies are a class apart along with awesome interior decoration. Their arrangment for parties is great.

It is a disaster to stay in the hotel, the front office staff and room staff is very impolite and seriously lacks courtesy, for the price they charge (claiming to be not revised in the last 7 years) the hotel is still very highly priced as the rooms are very stuffy and smelly, there is a foul smell in the rooms and the bedding is very hard and bed-sheets are dirty. The interiors are very unclean and one can see cobwebs all around. The floor is very dirty, you cannot walk barefoot. The front office sofa was so dirty that I would personally not use the cloth of sofa as a door mat even. Overall a very bad hotel amidst the heart of the city.

This hotel has everything going for it - large space, plenty of rooms, large restaurant and a very central location in town. However, it has nothing going right for it - well almost nothing. The rooms, passages and most spaces are run down, somewhat dilapidated and in a major need for an upgrade. Even the room service menu looks like it's been weathered from years of use. Few rooms have balcony access so that helps in getting some fresh air into the otherwise musty interiors. A visit to the restaurant on the ground floor feels like walking into a heavily air conditioned dungeon that's neither seen light or air from the outside in decades and has allowed mold, food smells and other assorted odors cook and mesh together into a head spinning potpourri. Besides the tacky interiors it has a really slow service. The food served is highly overpriced (Tandoori Roti is Rs. 25) and quality barely makes the average mark. On most days despite requesting room cleaning, the room looked just as run down and unkempt by the evening and repeated requests were needed to get attention of cleaning crew. The air conditioner broke down in 2 of the rooms we occupied and after much back and forth we were switched to an "upgraded" room - just to sleep for the night. Room service of tea/coffee and food was probably the best experience anywhere in the hotel. Even there, getting an exorbitantly priced ice bucket (Rs. 100) needed 3 calls to different numbers and we were often told it's not available, when finally it did make an appearance! The hotel shows a wifi network but we were told there's no wifi. Guess there's no wifi for guests. Take it or leave it. There is a large hall space on the 2nd floor for weddings and large events. Thankfully there was no big celebration during our stay and it can best be left to imagination what the place would be like to stay in during one of those days. The lobby is relatively spacious but only has a few chairs etc in case you want to wait. The front desk is courteous and most staff behaved well. Overall it seems whoever owns or runs this facility has no real interest in fixing this place. It's a real shame given its location, the space it has available and the fact that there are interesting art-deco style buildings in close vicinity that the entire cluster could be turned into a Happy in-town hub. The Main Street nearby is full of shops of all kinds and in the evening makes for an interesting stroll. In the day the traffic is heavy and the incessant honking makes it feel twice as crowded. Pan (beetlenut) shops dot the area given the love locals have for chewing (and spitting) it.

i must say one thing is that the hotel is not worth staying especially for family . for solo , it is okay. hotel room was not good. staff behavior was not upto the mark. to get a service you need to call them multiple times. as for as money is concerned it is not worth.

Well, here do I start to describe the awful service this hotel offers. They didn't have enough rooms (we had booked beforehand) so 3 of us were put in the twin room. The third bed was basically a fold up pasting table on small legs with nails poking up around the edge and it was covered with cobwebs. The staff plonked the bedding on top and watched me as I made my own bed. They then put their hands out for a tip. None of the beds had a top sheet and the bedding was all stained. The tap dripped all night and the bathroom was covered in mould. Choose somewhere else to stay.
