SAFETY IS TERRIBLE. SNAKE IN ROOM @ 2.45 AM As the Video cannot be uploaded some pics are being put. We were a group of 5 and took two Stone Cottages. We traveled from Coimbatore via Ooty and reached around 3 pm had lunch unpacked to our rooms went out and back for the night. It was a very tiring day and so I slept around 9.30pm. I got up to a soft rustling sound of a cover in the middle of the night(must have been a little past 2). THERE WAS NO POWER. I though this was possibly one of the plastics next to me, on the cot, that i may have pressed in sleep. I heard the sound again, seemed below the cot, this time it was more distinct. I though it was my roomy put on the light from my mobile, But he was fast a sleep. A third time and out of sheer GRACE I PUT THE LIGHT below the cot to find a SNAKE in ready to STRIKE below the cot. The TIME was 2.45 am. (See the Pictures) I woke up my roomy, remember NO LIGHT. He put on the torch and we saw the snake more clearly. Pulled all out stuff on to the cot. Slowly we saw the snake crawl across the room. It was about 7 feet long, seemed like a viper or a lyre. Lucky for us it went towards the bathroom we opened the door let it in, but could not bolt as there was NO bolt on the outside of the bathroom door. My belt was used to tie the door from swaying open. WE WERE UP and didn't sleep all NIGHT. There was nothing we could do. We called the Local care taker at 5 am. They came there but could do nothing as it was still dark. The Snake could be removed only at 6.30 am after the day light had come up. On inspecting the room we find that there are numerous opening and area is POORLY MAINTAINED. The only positive is the care taker of the place Mr. Sasi. He was caring and helpful. SUGGESTION: BOOK AT YOUR RISK. NOT AT ALL IF THERE ARE CHILDREN

We visited Deep Jungle Home on the 3rd 4th and 5th of August as a bunch of four friends who love photography and nature and boy! this is a perfect place to match the intentions. Serene, quite, deep and literally in the jungle. A brilliant place with no high and fancy luxuries (a jungle home doesnt mean you need to live on 5 start standards). Very rustic, raw and the property makes you truly feel that you are in the jungle. Bala and his team of staff were super helpful. The food prepared by Mahendar was fantastic and homely, we ate more than what we usually eat in the city life. Great opportunities to watch wildlife (elephants and deers in our case). They come almost to your doorstep if you are lucky enough. We stayed at the stone cottage on day 1, isolated and a great view of the jungle and the stream. On day 2 we stayed at the swiss tent facing the stream, another great view of the stream and the sounds of nature can keeps us all in a trance of harmony. Cant wait for another visit to Deep Jungle Home.

It will give you real Jungle stay Feel. They have plenty of space. The cottage, tents , tree house bamboo guys all sorts of accommodation. And a small stream flowing beside the property adding the charm. The most important part is their Happy to help stuff, they will really treat u well and be available for your smallest need. Only improvement area is food variety, thought their food quality is good but limited variety is available. Definitely recomended for the wildlife lover people.

We group of 6 people 4 bikes started from Bangalore! The ride was good till the forest .we entered the forest from Karnataka border. Once we entered we noticed many wildlife which includes elephants, deer , wild buffalo etc. the road and the the ride inside the jungle is awesome with many wildlife to see. And once we entered the home stay we were happy to see the home stay cause of its location- a beautiful inside the misty jungle!! We were satisfied with the locality and a beautiful small water stream inside the home stay added a little more charm to the home stay. We stayed in the Tents !! - a good neat spacious with attached bathroom! The food was good so as the staff! They were ready to prepare anything extra dish as per your order request but with and extra cost if its not included in the package. We were satisfied with the home stay! The best part is beautiful location, ride inside the jungle!! We will definitely visit the place once again!!
