Gouri Farms is situated opposite to Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witnesses (Church) for an easy access. It has well-manicured lawns around giving it an attractive look. Overlooking the dense foliage, the homestay in Gudalur is close to restaurant, ATM, petrol pump, pharmacy and hospital.
If not greenery, then guests can enjoy trekking, nature trails and bird watching around the locale. Coming back to the property, it has two well-kept rooms that are equipped with conveniences like television set, bed, ceiling fan, makeup mirror and attached bathroom.
Along with this, there is dining hall, and veranda available in the homestay. To add more, tour guide arrangements can be made on prior intimation. Our kitchen serves home cooked meals prepared from locally sourced produce. NEIGHBOURHOOD Places worth visiting include Bokhapuram Temple (29 km), Mudumalai National Park (3 km), Moyar River (6 km), Mariamman Temple (2 km), Nilgiri Water Falls (36 km) and Mukurthi National Park (29 km). This was my second visit to Gouri Farms, this time with my friends. This time too we were not disappointed and our friends too liked the place. We opted for double occupancy room in the new block and rooms are clean, toilet is clean. They serve veg food but the quality of the food is awsome. If you are a non vegetarian I believe you should stay here and enjoy the veg food as non veg you may be having quite often. If you are looking for a relaxed vacation near Bangalore then opt this place and indulge yourself in the books that your hectic daily schedules does not allow you to. Kids have enough and more space to play and you can send them out worry free. Gouri farms :we are exploring an opportunity to visit third time.

What should I say about this place? This is like a dreamland. Right in the Nilgiri valley its a heaven on earth. Everything about the place is perfect. The rooms have everything what you need. No words can describe Dr. Shylas hospitality. Udayan the caretaker is equally humble. Do visit this place to understand the essence of life on simplicity. Also please note that this place is extremely pet friendly.

I travelled to Gudalur because my daughter was there on an attachment to the Hospital near this property - a charity hospital founded and run by Shyla and NK who own this property. It was my first trip to India (age 57) and Shyla and NK made me extremely welcome. Gudalur itself is a medium-sized Southern Indian town. When we wanted to travel (Ooty, Needle Rock, Mudumulai, Mysuru and other spots recommended by our hosts) they organised us friendly, reliable drivers which was a massive help to an overseas guest. The accommodation itself is in the grounds of their beautiful farm - green, lush surroundings with lots of room for children to play. Traditional Indian breakfast was included in the B&B price and we usually had our evening meal there too - fresh, home-cooked, spicy, vegetarian and delicious. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. I look back on my week there as a huge privilege and a great way to taste India.
