Stayed here with family (including a 2 year old) in December 2017; Salvi family ensures that the stay is very comfortable; great food; since it is slightly away from Guhagar town and beach (10 min drive), it is an excellent place to relax even on long weekends when all tourist places tend to be very crowded; there are ample attractions for children within the property while enjoying the natural beauty of Konkan.

My family of five, three adults and two kids stayed at MMG earlier in May 2017. It was an absolutely fantastic experience. Took me back to the times as a kid when I used to visit my relatives during summer vacations. The Salvi family made sure that we felt at home throughout the stay a home stay indeed. Sameer Salvi, along with his parents run the place. Actually no they dont just run the place but they live there and give others an opportunity to share their space at MMG. It was like a family get together during meal times with the Salvi family and mine chatting away as if they were old acquaintances. My intention was to give my kids (7 yrs and 4 yrs) an opportunity to see rural life up close and what a farm looks like. Food If you like to eat local then you would love it here. Kokan food made by Mrs Salvi are mind blowing. During my stay, Sameer was gracious enough to fetch fresh fish from the market cos I requested for it. But then he does it for all the guests at MMG. I came to know when during my second visit yes I visited twice, says a lot for my review right! - to MMG we went hunting (not literally) for a place where we could get gauti chicken. For those from outside Maharashtra - Gauti is exotic whilst broiler is regular fare. Alcohol is not allowed at MMG but no complaints there. Note during Ekadashis they do not prepare Non-veg. To do list There is not much to do within MMG. Well that is the whole idea of a vacation, but then if you are one who likes to have a proper packed planned vacation then I suggest make your itinerary or contact Sameer or his brother Sanket to plan for you. I suggest carry a badminton set if you plan to visit with kids. There is no TV so if you have spoilt your kids galore with it then it would be a good detox. Believe me they wont miss it. Accommodation I read about it being pricey in some of the reviews. Agreed that its not a resort. Sameer will promptly correct you and say its a agro-tourism home stay which is what it is. The way I see it, I am playing for an experience and at the end of it I dont think it was pricey. The warmth, the feel and the non-a-la-carte food spread did it for me. A refreshing stay most certainly!!! Enjoy yours if you plan on going here.

I went to this place in last week of May after reading lots of good reviews online. The experience of staying at Majhya Mamacha Gaon (MMG) was refreshing and pleasant. In fact before going i was expecting it to be a place with basic features but after arrival i was surprised to see the cleanliness of the property as well as the rooms. The property has 4 rooms (2 A.C . and 2 Non A.C.) but without T.V. sets which you or your kids won't really miss it here. The property has a large garden in front of the rooms with ample place for the kids to play or adults to stroll around. The rooms have all the basic supplies needed and you need o carry only your clothes. Also the bed is not as soft as you expect in a star rated hotel rooms in fact it is on a stiffer side. The food here is excellent right from veggies to meat and you can get anything provided you ask them before. The owners Salvi family are very friendly and Mr, Sameer Salvi is a perfect host you could get. Mr. Sameer personally took initiative to show spots nearby and accommodate our requests. Rest of the their staff is courteous and well mannered. We are thankful for love and gratitude extended to us by Salvi Family. I would recommend this place to people especially seeking nature, simplicity and a family friendly hotel in Konkan.
