we a group of 3 friends stayed at Punjabiyat over the weekend for 2 nights without knowing what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised with our encounter. Punjabiyat sticks to it's name of giving the feel of rural punjab. Everything about the place was unprentious. We were served delicious food. And gosh, the views were to die for. Ofcourse, the property didn't have any Wifi and thus barring us from sticking to our phones all day. We got a detox from gadgets and woke up to the sounds of the local gurudwara and birds. Went on morning walks to the nearby diary farm which we highly recommend. Had a blast in the plunge pool late evening. I would definetly visit again with my family and try the tractor rides which we missed this time. In all Kudos to the staff at the property, who put out theirbest efforts to ensure our comfort.

We stayed for 2nights with our kid of 5 yr old. We love the overall experience be it the rooms, ambiance, farm, activities etc. the food was out of this world and though it was kind of mini version of buffet but chef ensured that they check the menu with us before making and customising to our taste. The food is one of the best we have tasted in India. We love having the morning teas with open green fields in front of us. Rooms were very spacious and well kept and comfortable with rustic feel. The staff was amazing and very polite and helpful and ensured all requirements are fulfilled. The kid loved the small swing in middle of the trees, the tractor ride to the village, the horse ride to the nearby gurudwara, the bullock cart ride to the poultry farm, the cycle ride with me...We also liked the technology detox here as their are no TV or wifi ( but decent mobile coverage). Highly recommended to visit with friends family. Great job by the whole team.

I have been to Punjabiyat recently, this property is of only 4 cottages along with green field. There are basic facilities cant expect much from this. If you are even looking for place for peace then also I would not recommend this place bcos after one day surely you will think what to do here. When I have written bad management then I have come across first kind of place where they force you to pay entire money upfront then they force you eat as per their choice and that too through buffet prices. they dont have price list for menu. If you dont feel like eating much then also you have to pay full price of buffet. We ordered so much in snacks which filled our stomach n left bit for dinner though we paid for snacks separately and they tried to charge us 5000.00 for 2 dal n 2 veg mix n 2 chicken n roti n salad. Which I feel its totally unjustified and I had to fight for the same and paid 2000 to them. But we were very well serviced by their staff and caretaker-Jasdeep of property, I would rate them 5 but 1 to management as having ala carte food menu for food items is decision of management. They can keep short menu but they cant force on customers as its a requirement in todays world of hospitality or they should make MAP kind of deals for customers as I have seen in other properties. Secondly they have named property as Punjabiyat, they have surely made the property like old houses of Punjab like punjabis use to live about 30-40 years ago but there is nothing much more to feel about Punjabi. They have ample space which can be utilised for recreational room n some sports or some cultural activities which can add to the flavour of Punjabiyat and justify its name. I found it expensive against facilities given in the property.

Located at an exotic mystical place, within the lush green fields of rural Punjab, the resort is designed like a village house, yet has some modern amenities for the urban guests. Bullock Carts and Tractor rides are exciting for the first timers. Gives you a genuine peek in the life of rural Punjab. the food served there is freshly cooked for you, and the place is well away from all the hustle bustle of the cities. Best time to travel is in winters and in dry cool weather, though we went in Monsoons. still a great place for a weekend. The Chhota Ghallughara gurdwar( Smaller Holocaust Gurdwara) and the newly built up memorial nearby gives you a bone chilling account of the Sikh history also, which is not available in modern textbooks, nor many people talk about it. Not to be missed.....

No matter how much I try and explain the experience, you got to be there to feel it. On my trip to Amritsar, Punjabiyat was a one day getaway. Getting there from Amritsar for a decent drive ( road is not the best ), once we reached, it was all worth it. In April we experienced Rain, the most beautiful Colors of the wheat plantation from our cottage till as far as we could see. Service is simple but food is out of the world. The team is warm and very helpful. Nights are cold and you won't need a fan in the middle of the day as the mud huts will keep you cool enough. Just book and get there to experience hospitality, food, serenity, all under one roof.
